Biblical truths are like scientific truths but only at a higher level. (For important doctrines, such as the Trinity, I will use capitalized Truths while less important ones truths.) If you fear God, you know that I. Newton, A. Einstein, and the like count little according to the Bible. On the other hand, Jesus Christ will reward richly to those who contribute to biblical truths.
Scholarly studies on the Bible and Christianity are the branch of theology (神学)。When you enter a divinity school or seminary, you do not study religion 101 but other introductory courses. When you get to the late stage of your study you study more difficult theology topics such as heresies and comparative religions.
Chinese contribution on theology is almost nothing except 倪柝声. This is an objective observation. The West has had extensive studies on religions and the Bible for 2000 years while China has been in contact with Christianity probably 150years. In addition, there have been so few Christians in China and China lacks of academic resources and freedom.
Do you need to know or accept all biblical truths to be a Christian? Absolutely not. Some biblical truths I discuss even many pastors do not agree or do not understand.
Now some real examples. I. Newton was not only a pious Christian but also spent only 1/3 of his time on sciences and 2/3 on research on the Bible. What contributions I. Newton had on theology? Probably nothing if not negative. Now about A. Einstein, he was a Jew and even respected Jesus very much. Will he go to heaven or hell? I do not know because the Bible says Jesus Christ will be the Judge.
On theology knowledge, just a month ago I had a clash with some Australian pastors. Some had problems with my statements. Am I going to apology to make them feel more conformtable? No. What I said is true. Deal with it; it is your problem.
