I think lucky is essential for new immigrant to find the first job here. whatever is a large company or a small company. To be honest, sometimes your work experience in big name company in China can not gurantee you to secure a job in a medium/small size company in Australia.

Partially agreed, subject to % of transferrable knowledge and skills, i.e.Those SOEs are all big names, but knowledge transferability is quite low comparing to those working experience in a MNC that implemented popular ERP system.

国内的趴跟澳洲有业务基本凤毛麟角。我当时来的时候，我的趴帮我试了一下，顺便还联系了一个认识我的美国趴一起推荐，但是还是不行（当然，也有很大可能是我的level太低了 。） 如果学过澳洲的税法，可以给ATO做volunteer,就是报个税。估计税务的好找点吧，毕竟大大小小的firm都有这个业务。审计在澳洲毕竟市场有限啊。

税务的才不好找呢，这里的税法跟国内的不一样。审计的倒是很多移民在做，市场有限但fee很好啊，我看了我们公司给EY的audit fee，数字不变换成人民币我都嫌高。

反正，你就坚持投简历吧，而且，摸清楚大agent区域里经常出现的人名，准备好说辞后，打电话给他们，follow up+sell自己，还是会有用的。

找一个好的consultant是很重要的，他们会给你找到最fit in的position，还会帮你bargain一个最好的salary deal。

哈哈，我就是废了的国内税务。现在已经完全不知道自己的正确定位了。

小公司拒俺拒得最快，没有对应的local experience; 大公司recruit的都是senior以上level的, graduate 又不符合了。

想问楼主一个问题，在国内有5年内审经验的资深内审师，难道你还甘心做AR, bookkeeper? 想鼓励一下楼主，不要轻易放弃自己的专业和国内经验。熬过了最艰难的时期，前面就是彩虹了。

我在国内的时候做了4年外审（也不是4大), 现在在这边做内审。我在悉尼。说说我所了解的市场情况，希望对你有帮助。

1，个人经验， 不要找firm. 原因是过于强调local experience， 而且钱少。
2， 做contractor是条好的出路，不过也不是很容易找到。建议你找agent聊聊。大的公司一般都找agent去找人的。ambition, michael page 都是不错的agent， 专门作大公司猎头。强调你熟悉的sector. 每个sector 需要的技巧和经验都不同。个人感觉，这边比较需要financial sectgor, manufacturing sector的就不是太需要。
3， 建议你好好读ca，acca, cpa这些是最有用的qualification. （个人感觉这边的cpa特容易读了, 所以读了cpa) . Tafe就不要读了。反正大公司都要学位的。我刚来的时候读了master of commerce，还是有用的。特别是现在工作了，公司鼓励大家都读硕士，这个学位更加有用了。。。
4， 其实不是很明白为什么你以前做内审还是比较注重报表审计？内部审计的重点应该不是报表审计吧？如果你有cia， 也可以向中介说明。这个证书我也有。 找工作的时候，有时候抛出来还是可以吸引一些眼球的。实际作用就不是太大。
5， volunteer的机会其实不会有太多。建议你还是把重点放在和agent联系，修改好简历，然后考个ca阿什么的， 是比较好的选择。

另外，还有一个曲线救国法：就是申请4大在其他城市的internal auditor 工作。特别容易（因为没有人愿意留小城市阿）。做他几年后再回悉尼。我当初就差点去了CANBARA。他们很急着用人呢。。。。面试很容易，而且是senior internal auditor 的位子。

good discussion. I had same tough experience 4 years ago and wish you all the best. I was auditor before for china audit office for more than 8 years and i am a finance officer for Local government . My point is:

1. To be honest, accounting job is more than auditing position in the market.

2. If you could pop in the Assistant accountant, i encourage you to go on. Don't focus on AP and AR position. Ap,AR--AA--accountant which is hard to come into reality.( at least for 90% of people)

3. Be patient as much as you could and put your eyes on contract external audit position .

4. every one is the same when they look for the first job.

七月份打算读个TAFE（专为OVERSEA QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT而设，免费，一年FULL TIME，据说读完100%就业。）
请问lz这个哪里有报名？课程具体的名字叫什么？

看了那么多前辈的经验，我心情好些了，但是路还是很艰难，因为我以前服务的客户基本都是制造业，而这里以金融业居多，所以我不熟悉他们的流程，另外这里在SOX范围内的企业真的是凤毛菱角，另外如果我投事务所做外审的话，初级职位真的很少，而且我又不是外审出身，也没有本地经验，基本不会考虑我。这个月已经过了快一半了，工作一点戏都没有，过了这个月估计会更淡了，我该怎么办？？？其实我要也愿意去其他城市，只要能做回IA或者EA，但是我担心他们会问我跨城市申请的问题？ 特别难过的时候我甚至想，早点把移民监过掉，我换护照去美国或者回上海去，真的熬不住了。

我前晚才search seek.com.au上SOX和internal audit的position，还是有的呀，你有没有主动打电话给agent？有没有再细心的修改简历？不好在没有尽力之前泄气哦！不要一个人慌慌张张的，多细心研究几个论坛里面的求职帖、简历帖、面试帖，机会即使不多，也不是没有，但只会留给有准备的人。

还不是因为那个可恶的入籍政策变之前过来，想着蹲够2年赶紧换护照完事呢。现在想想pr有时候真鸡肋啊。

美国的IA,EA,去年的时候据美国来的同事说很火，到处找人，而且中国的业务很多。今年就不知道了，现在股市经济这么惨，谁知道什么样啊。

不打算就这么样就回去。这次一定要踏踏实实做点成绩出来。现在我的打算就是生存第一，发展第二吧。先尽量找个会计相关的工作，慢慢读书考证发展吧。

回53#的, IA在网上是有的,但是SOX就几乎没有了,而且IA很多职位都是HAYS发出来的,我曾经和他们电话过,他们说不考虑没有本地经验的人, 而且根本商量不通,所以我就不再投他们的了,   今天无意中看到北领地的Alice springs的一家四大招人, 在犹豫要不要投,地方是太夸张了一点,但是毕竟是四大啊,我估计可能要求比较低,没人愿意去那里, 要不是入籍政策改了,我是不会回来的,  我把简历贴出来给前辈看看,哪里需要改的?
