这个帖子问到貌似英国不像美国那么在意演员的颜值的问题。
Do British actors tend to be more unattractive/"normal" looking?
Seems like it. Obviously, some of them are good-looking but on the whole, Brits don't seem to require their actors to have model looks.
BBC拍的电视剧，演员的颜值都一般般，深有同感。。。既然如此，以后看英国的电影电视少一点期待吧。
其中有人回复，有很多演员既有演技又有颜值，为何不选颜值高的？（这也是我的想法啊。。。）
Although America may put more emphasis on looks than British TV producers, there are certainly plenty of Actors and actresses in America that have both acting talent and amazing looks. I guess my question is, aren't there plenty of people who poses both qualities? I recently watched Happy Valley on Netflix. It was a good show with good acting but the actresses were hideous. They could have mixed in a little sex appeal in my opinion.

I'm not British or American but wanted to comment on how fake and scary looking some of the American actors are looking these days.
Horrible, huge unnatural teeth, taught skin, so much surgery that it's starting to show badly, obvious hairpieces on the men, frail thin broomstick physiques on the women.
Hollywood reinforces such a warped and unnatural look.
Is this really reflective of what American's look like and relatable to the average American? It takes a lot more class and bravery to look your age gracefully. Desperately clinging to a long escaped youth like American actors do is nauseating and detracts from the work.
100% agree with the looks over talent of the average American actor.
