The reason IE tries to search for all possible FQDN for what you inputs is that it can't resolve the name "www.google.com.cn". This FQDN (www.google.com.cn) does exist, and since you CAN access AUSTEPS, so the problem exists between the DNS server you ISP assigned to you and the root DNS server for .cn DNS names, in another word, your ISP f**ked up. I believe reporting this to them will help them trace the problem and hopefully eventually solve it. |
