The City of Melbourne will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Pacific on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 August, with a program of public events in and around the city.

There will also be an Avenue of Peace created by school children at the Shrine, and a service at St Patrick's Cathedral.
A VP Day luncheon at Government House will take place on the 15 August and there will be two concerts starring Marina Prior, and featuring songs and music from the era. Closing celebrations will feature an official WWII era aircraft fly over the city.
