Short term contract, flexible rate!
SQL Server DBA opportunity, with opportunity to employ your application development skills.
Our client, a global market leader, is looking for a highly skilled SQL Server DBA for a 3 month contract at a generous rate.
You will be proficient in SQL Server, and ideally have recent, hands-on experience in Windows Server 2003 and In-depth knowledge of at least one of Microsoft SQL Server database management systems. Good knowledge of data modeling and end-to-end database application project experience is highly desirable.
Your duties will include:
" Installation and maintenance of DBMS software.
" Installation and maintenance of application database components.
" Installation and maintenance of DBMS and database utilities.
" Identification, evaluation and recommendation of candidate database products for use within the Bank.
" Performance monitoring and tuning of application databases.
" Diagnosis and resolution of problems identified by users of database systems.
" Design, development, testing, documentation and operation of regular database management procedures.
" Provision of advice to developers and end-users requiring SQL access to databases.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required. You will be able to take ownership of your tasks and see them through.
