Senior Web Analyst Programmer, AAI, Head Office


An outstanding newly created opportunity exists for to join the AAI team as a Senior Web Analyst Programmer located in our Melbourne Head Office.

This role will utilise your highly developed programming skills to design, develop, deliver quality J2EE web applications and ensure that applications are developed to standard within agreed budgets and timeframes. You will have the ability to understand the essential needs of Business Customers and meet these in well-designed programs. Good skills in time and resource management are also required.

To be successful in this role you will require:
· At least 3 years of Transactional Website Java/J2EE Development and Design.
· Application Architecture design knowledge of Java OO programming techniques
· Development Experience with the following development tools –

WSAD, Servlets, JSP, Struts, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, JSTL, LDAP, JDBC, XML, XSLT, MQ, CVS, Ant, HttpUnit.
· Experience developing applications targeting IBM WebSphere Web and Application Servers.
· Experience with at least one relational database package eg DB2, Cloudscape, Oracle, SQL Server etc.
· Image manipulation experience with Adobe Photoshop

The following additional skills are desirable
· Experience in developing scalable applications which operate over a diverse networking environment
· Website Graphic Design
· Knowledge and Understanding of the General Insurance Industry and product offerings.
