Let’s look at the results in a little more detail. The combined percentage of OP1 and OP2
at 29.6 % (State 5.87%) was particularly noteworthy-the second best in our twenty year
records.
The OP 1-5 result at 55.4% (State 19.01%) was very pleasing. The OP1-7 result at 70.8%
(State 29.5 %) was similarly our best result to date. The OP1-13 result at 92.1 % (State
64.5%) was equal to our best result ever. The median score was OP5. The percentage of
students in the OP1-15 distribution was 95% (State 75.74%).

Amazing results, bright futures
Brisbane Boys’ College continues its record of academic excellence with 21 percent of last year’s seniors securing either an OP1 or 2, including 19 individual OP1s and 16 OP2s.
Having developed a strong sense of social responsibility while serving as school captain, as well as an interest in foreign affairs through his involvement with BBC’s Amnesty International club, this year OP1 recipient Tom Law will commence a Bachelor of Arts/Law at the University of Queensland (UQ).

“I chose Arts/Law as it gives me a whole range of options, most of which I am yet to discover. I do however plan to major in French (which I studied for six years at BBC) with a view to working in foreign affairs,” he said.

110 KB image/jpegJoining him at UQ is BBC’s 2011 Dux and OP1 recipient Max Koopman who is set to study a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in software engineering, an interest that was sparked through his involvement with the College’s Robotics Club.

For BBC’s Head of Teaching and Learning Mr Barry Dean, the results are reflective of the College’s philosophy.

“We take great pride in equipping students with real-life skills and encourage them to work independently and take ownership of their work,” Mr Dean said.

“Students are not taught what to think, but how to think; we don’t just teach to the test but rather focus on maximising a boy’s potential on every level,” he said.

“Our diverse subject and co-curricular offering, coupled with our extensive academic support programs, allows boys to discover their individual talents and interests and attain their academic goals.”

2011 Academic Results

The School’s exceptional record of academic excellence was again demonstrated with the 2011 Year 12 students achieving outstanding results.

These  results show 75.2 per cent of our students receiving an A or B grade compared with 43.4 per cent of students across the state in the QCST. It is worth noting that entry into Year 8 at Girls Grammar is not academically selective—which provides us with a diverse student population—and importantly, the School does not provide academic scholarships. Therefore these impressive results are testament to our high quality teaching and the positive learning culture inherent in the student body

Principal, Dr Amanda Bell, acknowledged the efforts of staff and students ”On behalf of Year 12 I thank all the teachers involved in preparing our girls so diligently and effectively. However, it is to the students, who must work together and perform to their very best ability—individually and collectively—that we extend our warmest congratulations.”

Outstanding OP Results

2011 OP RESULTS CONTINUES ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Congratulations to the 2011 Year 12 St Peters graduates. In summary:

- 15 students received an OP1;
- 40% of OP eligible students received an OP1-5;
- 70% received OP1-10; and
- 90% received OP1-15.

These results are a credit to St Peters teaching staff and a just rewards for our students.

It is a long-established tradition that each year we publish a summary of the results achieved by the Year 12 cohort.
Once again, it is a pleasure to congratulate the matriculating class on their individual performances and, just as importantly, on the performance of the group as a whole.
The summary of results given below includes the results for all students who gained an OP in 2011. These results also incorporate the International Baccalaureate Diploma results, converted into the equivalent OP score.

OP Results continue a tradition of academic excellence. Congratulations to the class of 2011 Year 12 Stuartholme School graduates. Our girls have continued to benefit from the programmes we have implemented to support their learning: -

    4% of OP eligible students have received an OP1
    38% of OP eligible students received an OP1-5
    66% of OP eligible students received an OP1-10
    92% of OP eligible students received an OP1-15

For many girls, their final result exceeded their expectations and is testimony to their determination. We acknowledge the commitment of our Stuartholme staff and thank the 2011 Parents for their continued support.

2011 Academic Results

We are happy to announce the following OP results for the 2011 Year 12 cohort. St Aidan’s students performed very well with 22% of students receiving an OP 1-3 (State average: 9.84%). 36% of St Aidan’s students achieved an OP in the 1-5 range compared with 19% of students in the state. 93% of St Aidan’s students received an OP of 1-15, compared with 76% of the state. These results are particularly noteworthy as the vast majority of the total cohort of graduating St Aidan’s students were OP-eligible.

We congratulate the 2011 graduating cohort on their performance on the Queensland Core Skills Test with 35.85% of OP-eligible students being awarded an A (state average: 17.66%) A total of 63.21% of OP-eligible students were awarded an A or B (state average- 47.73%).

您从哪里得到的消息啊？ 取消OP后，大学拿什么标准来录取学生呢？
咱没听说过。

我听一个朋友说的，她听一个在教育部工作的朋友说的。确切的说是取消学校对OP level 的限制，以前差点学校可能一个OP 1 都没有，以后就只看学生的成绩（但这个成绩是不是最后的高考成绩就不知了），而不受学校影响了。

不知你朋友的朋友是否真的了解OP的标准. 在QLD,教学大纲和考试标准是Queensland Studies Authority(QSA)制定的, 不是Education of Queensland制定的. 澳大利亚联邦教育部正在向各州的教育部门夺权, 在教学大纲上正在推广Australian Curriculum. 在考试平分标准上推广Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), 但什么时候能在QLD推广ATAR,那是政客们的事.
在QSA的网站上至少目前是没有任何计划对OP的评定标准作出改变.
