看介绍和knowledge management有点像。。。我考了KM了，再读这个会不会有点重复？

这门课是偏理论多点，还是偏计算多点?

I'M ALSO VERY INTERESTED IN THIS SUBJCE AND WANT TO GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT IT. I HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING AS MY SECOND ELECTIVE CAUSE MY FRIENDS RECOMMEND IT AND RECON IT INVOLVE MANY CACULATION, SO YOU CAN HANDLE THE EXAM AFTER YOU FINISH THE EXERCISES QUESTIONS.
THEREFORE, I'M THINKING ABOUT TO TAKE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING AS THE LAST ONE, BUT NEED FURTHER DETAIL TO DETERMINE, HA HA

刚考过ＳＭＡ．计算的内容不多，不超过计划１０题．主要是对内容的理解．本人觉得是理论较多．问题都是用most likely, at least...之类的字眼!

会不会感觉答题的时候有点模棱两可？

提起这科就觉得是恶梦. 自己一直在干COSTING和MA相关的东西.竟然惨败!
考完后我study group 的同僚交换了一下感想,附上给你参考.

After months of Strategic Analysis and weeks of Strategic Planning, I am keen on knowing how you all went with the Strategic Implementation yesterday afternoon.

What Performance metrics should we use?
1.       Completion of all 85 answers.
2.       Completion of about 80% of the answers well.
3.       Feelings after completion of the exam.
4.       All of the above.

If we do a strategic review of the questions I think there were three type of questions:
1.       Questions involving calculations.
2.       Subjective questions which had 'most likely', 'best option', 'least likely'…
3.       Other factual questions.

Apart from the three hours I spent at the examination, I spent most of the night having nightmares trying to decide things like – should a company selling fish be concerned about 'customer loyalty' or 'customer profitability' (fishy question?????) and Banksia city council's waste management program performance metrics…..

With my new found knowledge of project management I plan to do a Pert diagram to manage the rest of my CPA Program.

the exam questions were:

- subjective and open to interpretation
- barely relevant to course materials
- poorly worded
- were not a test of knowledge, conceptual skills or application of the materials provided
- seemed as though they wanted to trick you with their questions
- the practise exams had better resemblance of the course material

little bear, I answer your query here rather than in the pm

I have taken all the 3 subjects you mentioned, FA, SMA & FRD. FA is very different from FRD. It has got no calculation at all. Rather, it involves a lot of theory issues such as comparison of Aus standards against International standards. There is so much reading to do that I found it impossible to complete at all. Of the 3 electives I took, FA was the one I hated most.

SMA, on the other hand, is mixture of calc and theory. Its theory is not as static as that of FA and involves a lot of common sense. There is not so much reading to do and maybe a good option if you are choosing one elective to do together with CPA113 BLS as these two share some concepts in common.


But each person has got different style and preference. Tough or easy, they are of relative sense.I believe as long as one studies reasonably hard, passing any of the electives should not be a big issue.

That's what I have thought and planed to do previously....The only reason I become unsure is after my Reporting and Disclosure exam, I just found calculation is much more easier to me....then I lost myself.....:S
