I have taken all the 3 subjects you mentioned, FA, SMA & FRD. FA is very different from FRD. It has got no calculation at all. Rather, it involves a lot of theory issues such as comparison of Aus standards against International standards. There is so much reading to do that I found it impossible to complete at all. Of the 3 electives I took, FA was the one I hated most.
SMA, on the other hand, is mixture of calc and theory. Its theory is not as static as that of FA and involves a lot of common sense. There is not so much reading to do and maybe a good option if you are choosing one elective to do together with CPA113 BLS as these two share some concepts in common.
But each person has got different style and preference. Tough or easy, they are of relative sense.I believe as long as one studies reasonably hard, passing any of the electives should not be a big issue. |
