Microsoft has released a new version of Skydrive , designed to be faster, easier to navigate and a real destination rather than just a background service.
The site is designed to be optimised for HTML5 browsers, using the latest standards and hardware acceleration.
More interesting is that the upload limit for a single file has been raised from 50 MB to 100 MB, and that the service now supports drag and drop file upload, making it even easier to move files to the cloud.
Besides the updated UI the service has not seen any expanded functionality however, and we hope to see features such as streaming music, proper integration with Live Mesh and APIs for 3rd party developers to really make the service gain mindshare.
