The aluminum material used in MDX series housings makes it possible tomanufacture a body that is both lightweight and strong. The all-newhigh-rigidity, high-durability, high-precision MDX series demonstratesthe highest levels of performance under a variety of shootingconditions.
Two Fiber-optic cable sockets
Simply by connecting a Fiber-optic cable (L-type) to the socket, thelight of the digital camera's built-in flash is detected and connectedto an external strobe. This is considerably less complicated thansetting up an electrical connector that requires detailed knowledge.
Manual adjustment is possible without releasing the grips
Designed for easy operation so you can comfortably reach the maincommand dial and sub-command dial with your fingers, while keeping yourhands on the grips. Delicate operations are possible even while you arelooking through the viewfinder. You can change the shutter speed oraperture value effortlessly while maintaining your framing.

• The YS converter connector is standard equipment. The included5-pin wired connector accepts the optional YS converter/N. Theconverter woks with the YS-Series strobes to provide automatic TTLflash adjustment.
• Every detail of the housing is precision machined from a solidaluminum block to achieve a high-quality texture and design. All edgeshave been polished carefully for safety.
• The housing is protected by a highly corrosion resistant, anodized(dark blue) coating. The coating protects the housing fromenvironmental corrosion and abrasions.
• Comes standard with two kinds of type-N connectors: one 2-pin wiredconnector (for manual) and one 5-pin wired connector (for dedicatedTTL).
• Equipped with a 0.66x pick-up viewfinder standard. Interchangeable 0.5x/0.8x viewfinders (optional) are also available.
• The quick shoe makes the camera easy to install and remove from the housing.
• A port lock mechanism secures the port from accidental loosening.
• A built-in leak sensor immediately alerts you to any water leakage.
• Strong and durable build, with a depth rating of up to 60 m / 200 ft.
