First of all congratulations on the purchase of your new X5 and thank you for purchasing through Gold Coast BMW. I am the Pre-delivery Coordinator at the dealership and I help assist the sales team with the preparation of your vehicle. I have attached some important information in relation to our range of vehicle maintenance packages that the majority of our clients like to get done to their vehicles prior to delivery.
We currently have a special pre-delivery package for when you purchase your Permagard Protection Package you will not only receive window tinting complimentary, you will also receive a one year Schmick Scratch & Dent Membership at no extra charge!!
To preserve the beautiful Black paint in showroom condition we highly recommend getting it treated with Permagard Paint Protection. This is a glasslike treatment that has been designed to provide the entire exterior of your vehicle protection whilst also leaving an amazing gloss shine. The advantages of applying our coating over waxes and polishes is that it is a lot more durable and only requires a once off application. Along with that your standard wax is only 0.03 microns thick compared to Permagard Paint Protection which is 5-7 microns thick. It is super hydrophobic giving you the “sheeting affect” to help self-clean & repel dirt and grime from getting stuck in the pores of your paint. By not having to ever wax or polish you also save your car from ugly swirl marks & surface scratches that are impossible to get rid of (not that anyone has time to do that these days). Unlike your factory clear coat that can be permanently damaged this coating will protect your car against the following:
Bird/Bat Droppings
Loss of Gloss
Tree Sap
Salt Spray
Acid Rain
Sunscreen
Road Grime
Bore Water
Fading
Egg (the protein from the egg, not the shell)
Oxidisation & Discolouration
Water Marks
BMW’s paintwork can be quite expensive to repair ( approx. $800) if a panel was needed to be resprayed which is why we highly recommend you consider the right protection for it. Whether you only drive your car on weekends or everyday this treatment will save you loads of time & money on maintenance and will maximum resale value when the time comes to part with your X5.
Attached is a photo of a Virgin Blue plane that was restored using Permagard. This was the first plane they ever did for them which was 13yrs ago. The red glossy colour you can see on the plane is actually the Permagard product restoring the paintwork to its original state. Prior to using Permagard, Virgin was having to re-paint their planes every 12mths which would cost them one million dollars to do. 13yrs of using Permagard and not one plane has had to be re-painted. This product is endorsed by Airbus, Boeing, Porsche, Mercedes Benz Australia, Virgin Blue, Qantas, Jetstar and Etihad Airways.
To protect the inside of your new vehicle we use our Permagard Interior Protection which will protection the inside of your car from the dash all the way through to your boot. Unlike over the counter products this system is a once off application and is completely odourless and non-toxic making it safe for you and your passenger, also once you have treated your interior it will make maintaining the vehicle a breeze. Below gives you an idea of what will be covered under your interior protection warranty:
Fading
Sunscreen
Common Food & Drink Stains
Make-up etc.
Both of these products come with a Lifetime warranty. The warranty is a nationwide, no quibble warranty. Even if it is your neglect it is fixed. No hoops to jump through, no annual inspections or re-applications, no special shampoos, no time frame to get bat droppings off the car and so forth. Even if not covered under warranty, Permagard will still look at the issue and try and fix it for you. It is a nationwide warranty also.
We have recently launched an exciting new Scratch & Dent program at our dealership. Our membership comes with your choice of either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years and once you have paid your membership fee all of those minor dents and surface marks that appear on your car will only cost $50 to fix over the term of your membership, this even includes those nasty scrapes that appear on your alloys!
