Hamburger
买的现成的mini burger bread,切开后,平底锅稍稍干煎,夹入自己做的鸡肉饼和mayo,一部分加了生菜。
Hotdog
买的现成的hotdog bread, 切开后,夹入grilled frankfurt,吃时加tomato sauce。应小朋友要求,不加蔬菜。
Rainbow sandwiches
Ingredients
2 carrots, chopped
1 sweet potato, chopped
2 precooked beetroot bulbs
300g frozen peas, thawed
500g spreadable cream cheese
1 loaf white sandwich bread
Method
1. Steam carrot and sweet potato until very tender. Puree until smooth. Cool. Divide cheese among 3 bowls. Puree beetroot until smooth and mix with cheese in 1 bowl. Puree peas until smooth and mix with cheese in second bowl. Combine carrot mixture with cheese in third bowl.
2. Trim crusts from bread and spread with the purees. Cut into squares and triangles.
Rainbow veggie skewers
Ingredients
Vinaigrette Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetable Ingredients: (feel free to make substitutions as needed)
cherry tomatoes, carrots, yellow capsicum, squash, zucchini, green capsicum, red onion, purple cabbage
Method
To Make The Vinaigrette:
Whisk all ingredients together until blended.
To Make The Vegetables:
Cut vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Put vegetables to a large bowl, and toss with the vinaigrette until combined. Cover and refrigerate for half an hour. Soak skewers in water before grilling.
When ready to cook the vegetables, heat grill to medium heat. Thread the vegetables onto skewers in rainbow order. Then place the skewers on an oiled grill and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
