Title: Trainee Wireless Telecommunications Rigger
GRA Networks is a leading provider of services to clients in the telecommunications industry. We provide a range of services including design, project management and construction. We specialise in the installation, commissioning and testing of critical infrastructure. We are currently seeking Trainee Wireless Telecommunications Riggers to Train and work on a variety of telecommunications projects across Victoria.
On Job Training will include but not limited to the following:
• Installation of telecommunications cabling and equipment
• Installation, relocation and removal of tower mounted equipment
• Working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers and masts to install antennas, feeders and ancillary equipment
• Erection and fixing of steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment
• Termination of telecommunications cables of various types and sizes;
• Testing of cables for compliance with specifications
• Working with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP's as required carrying out works on site
• Conducting site audits
Trainees will undertake Training and will be expected to learn the following over the course of the traineeship:
• Site experience in telecommunications rigging
• Intermediate to advanced rigging certification
• EWP Ticket
• Must have Current drivers licence
• Construction industry white card
• Working at Heights certification
• Tower rescue certification
• First aid training including CPR
• RF awareness certification
• Will need Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Training in Telstra, Optus and VHA installations standards
• Training in Transmission and Microwave projects
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices
