yes, normally we are not allowed to inform the unsuccessful candidates until we find the right person and the person signed contract.
But in real world, after the initial shortlist, I emailed all the ppl who were not shortlisted that they are not successful. After 1st round interview, I emailed unsuccessful applicants within 1 week. At the final stage, maybe only have 2-3 top candidates, we are very careful of providing feedback to them. If there is any delay, I will email them that we are still in process - we wont say anything about whether he/she is successful - just in case there is any change. |
