Tap Jets recently posted on their twitter page that the company will be accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method. Eugene Kesselman, the CEO of TapJets has approved Verge [XVG], Ripple [XRP], and Litecoin [LTC] for the poll.

Global Director of fintech strategy at Autonomous Research Lex Sokolin said that investment advisors need to familiarize themselves with crypto and its underlying technology, however sceptical they may be, in an interview with CNBC May 16. Sokolin argued that investors will buy Bitcoin (BTC) whether advisors “like it or not,” so both individuals and financial advisors need to adapt to the phenomenon:

"Cryptocurrency is very controversial, but it's really here to stay, and the underlying [blockchain] technology is really fundamental to the types of companies that people are building right now."
Sokolin stressed that given the wild volatility of crypto markets, it wouldn’t be prudent to “go and fill your entire portfolio with cryptocurrencies.” However, he suggested that investing in crypto “is a good way to add alternatives to your general allocation, something like 3 [percent] to 5 percent of your portfolio."
The traditional financial sector has historically been distrustful of the emerging crypto industry, with major Wall Street banks such as Merrill Lynch banning their financial advisors from buying Bitcoin-related investments for their clients. They went so far as to ban clients’ access to the Bitcoin futures contracts offered on CME and CBOE.
Wall Street’s skeptical approach to crypto was exemplified by JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon’s outspoken dismissal of Bitcoin as “a fraud” last year, a statement he soon claimed to regret, softening his stance to one of avowed indifference. Dimon said he was, “not interested that much in the subject at all.”
Over the course of the spring, Wall Street has begun softening its stance on crypto. Investment banking giant Goldman Sachs announced it would offer certain contracts with Bitcoin exposure, before rumoredly offering crypto trading.
Recent news that the New York Stock Exchange’s owner may soon offer swap contracts in BTC, suggests that the major custody and security obstacles to mainstream institutional investment in the crypto space are being overcome. Beyond the US, Japan-based global investment bank Nomura revealed a digital asset custody solution for institutional clients yesterday.
Blockchain has made similar headlines this week, with Amazon Web Services, the tech giant’s cloud computing arm, launching a partnership with a ConsenSys’ blockchain startup to offer simplified blockchain cloud platforms to its clients.

郭台铭：利用区块链等技术解决中小企业融资难问题



5月16日，富士康董事长郭台铭在清华大学演讲时表示，富士康目前在布局工业互联网，比如最近研究的区块链金流平台，依托工业与互联网供应链六流企业与4T技术，加上区块链拥有的全程可追溯、不可篡改的特性，将建立一套真正属于中小企业信任、信用的机制，解决中小企业融资难、融资贵的问题。

富士康HCM资本执行合伙人李仁杰公开表示，未来由区块链所带动的去中心化的数字资产革命将成为第四次工业革命。李仁杰透露，HCM资本从两年前就开始在美国投资区块链和数据相关的公司。富士康集团也在进行区块链的应用布局，将区块链技术应用到集团的供应链以及金融服务方面的一些场景里。

Ofo, a leading bike rental company in China, has set up a research institute to tackle urban bike sharing management problems with blockchain technology, the company announced May 17. According to its press release, ofo’s blockchain research institute aims to use blockchain technology globally to further facilitate big data and IoT (Internet of Things).

“This aims to better bind multiple parties including enterprises, governments and users, in order to find solutions to problems in bike sharing operation such as bike deployment, redistribution, parking and maintenance, help build smart urban transportation globally.”
The move is geared towards solving the mounting problems of left-behind bikes on China’s streets. Last year, regulators issued parking guidelines (in Chinese) to encourage bike users to park in an orderly manner, but the guidelines were not strictly imposed.

Local governments had already imposed bans on hire bike companies adding more bikes. Back in August 2017, Shanghai banned any more hire bikes (and by November 2017 ofo was reported to be deliberately making new bikes look dirty and old to sneak them onto the streets). In May this year, Beijing started reinforcing electronic fences for bike rentals.

Bike rental companies have been struggling to keep cities orderly. An investigation by Q Daily in December 2017 revealed that bike rental companies have been avoiding collection of bikes impounded by city authorities to avoid costs. Q Daily journalists learned from the Hangzhou Municipal Commission of Urban Management that the labor cost of retrieving a single bicycle is RMB 9.6.

Another issue is dumping unused bikes. Thousands of bicycles can now be seen on the edges of many cities in China. Their sheer scale and waste have been making headlines worldwide. It was also discovered that rental bikes are deliberately being damaged. Last week, a whole graveyard of bikes was discovered with unlocked ofo rental bicycles buried under construction waste in Chengdu.

泰国放弃征收个人加密货币投资者的7％增值税

据Bitcoin.com报道，泰国税务局周二宣布将放弃个人加密货币投资者的7％增值税，但个人仍然必须支付15％的资本利得税，也称为预扣税，对交易中赚取的收入。

据彭博报道，泰国证券交易委员会表示，制定立法目标是监管，监督数字代币的提供和业务承诺，包括交易和经纪。另一个目标是保护投资者。以下为相关细节:

数字资产包括SEC规定的所有加密货币、数字代币以及其它电子数据单元。
向公众发行的数字代币必须由有限公司和公众有限公司进行。
发行人必须获得SEC批准，向SEC提交注册说明书和草稿，并通过SEC认可的ICO门户发行。
发行人必须提交持续的财务状况和业务运营报告。
任何希望经营数字资产业务的实体都必须获得财政部长批准，并符合SEC规定，如具备充足的资本以及解决网络安全问题。
数字资产业务现有运营商必须向SEC提交申请。
框架还将设法防止使用来源不明的加密货币。
SEC将对规定草案进行公开听证会，以落实具体框架。

据曼谷邮报报道，上周泰国一项管制加密货币的皇家法令已经生效。该法由100个部分组成，将加密货币定义为数字资产，必须在证券交易委员会进行注册。该国现有的加密货币零售商有90天（从5月13日开始计算）办理许可证。无证经营出售加密货币的惩罚不会超过交易价值的两倍，但至少为5万铢（约合1550美元），同时最高也可能面临两年监禁。

近日，北京大学光华管理学院金融学系主任、北大光华区块链实验室主任刘晓蕾，接受人民创投采访时表示，迪拜已经在筹办国际数字资产交易所，而纳斯达克也表示可能会考虑提供加密数字资产交易等。至少从国际竞争的角度，我国监管层可对设立数字资产交易所积极研讨论证。当然，鉴于此前的ICO乱象，具体的落地过程应当审慎，另外还要加强投资者教育，或者设置投资准入门槛，尽可能避免投机、炒作行为。

PayPal CFO：将会更加谨慎对待数字货币

PayPal CFO John Rainey周三向CNBC表示，当PayPal成为首批允许商户接受数字货币的公司时，出现了一个主要问题。商户们看到了数字货币的波动威胁到他们的生意，一些人开始质疑，PayPal将会更加谨慎对待数字货币。

PayPal CFO John Rainey said in an interview with CNBC May 16, that the company doesn't see much interest in digital currencies because price volatility threatens the viability of their merchants’ businesses.

Centralized payment service PayPal was a pioneer in accepting cryptocurrencies. Merchants could opt-in to accept Bitcoin (BTC) on the platform as far back as 2014, when BTC was worth around $400. Today, Rainey stated that PayPal currently doesn’t see much interest in digital currencies from their merchants, as the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies can cause contingent losses, explaining:
"If you're a merchant and you have, let's say, a 10 percent margin on a product that you sell and you accept Bitcoin, for example, and the very next day it moves 15 percent, you're now underwater on that transaction... You could have something that appeals to consumers, but if merchants don't accept it, it's of little value. Right now, we don't see a lot of interest from our merchants.”
“But if it's something that stabilizes in the future and is a better currency, then we'll certainly support that," he added.
The latter statement supports PayPal’s patent filed in March, which aims to speed up cryptocurrency transaction times. If the technology can be implemented at a large commercial scale, it could allow cryptocurrency payments to be processed between merchants and buyers instantly and off-chain, eliminating large transaction fees and long verification periods.
PayPal, which was launched in 1998, has 237 mln registered active accounts, with a payment volume of $132 bln in the first quarter of 2018, up more than $30 bln since the first quarter of 2017.
Today, Square CEO Jack Dorsey expressed optimism toward digital currency adoption on a global scale. At the Consensus conference, Dorsey shared his vision that cryptocurrencies are the future of a legitimate means of global payment, which reaffirms his previous comments that Bitcoin will become the world’s “single currency” within a decade.

One of the largest stock exchanges by volume in Europe, Germany-based Börse Stuttgart, has announced a cryptocurrency trading platform through a subsidiary called Bison.

Per a translation of the exchange's announcement, the effort aspires to "make trading in cryptocurrencies mass-marketable," and enables trading by smartphone app.

The new application was developed by Sowa Labs, which is itself a subsidiary of Börse Stuttgart Digital Ventures, and is expected to decrease much of the technical friction associated with investing in cryptocurrency. Sowa Labs recently conducted a survey, titled The Future of Crypto, which cited huge demand from over 1,000 subscribers for improved ease of access to the cryptospace.

Interestingly, The Future of Crypto notes that crypto users would prefer the ease of use and increased speed of a smartphone app over safety, user experience, variety of cryptocurrency listings, or transaction fees.

Bison will not charge trading fees, and its website makes note of an interesting function called "cryptorader," which "analyzes real-time data and provides a sentiment overview of the most talked about cryptocurrencies" via social media feeds. This is meant to allow users to "instantly see what's hot and what's not, without having to read thousands of tweets or dig through online news" through the use of AI.

As of now, Bison's website only lists: Ether (ETH), bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Ripple (XRP).

Bison launches in Germany in September, though a prototype of the app already exists.

Organized crime groups in Japan are quickly adopting cryptocurrencies to launder money and conduct other criminal activities because of the anonymity digital assets provide. The local authorities are virtually helpless to deal with them because of different regulations across international jurisdictions.

An investigative report by Mainichi Shimbun has confirmed several transactions since 2016 involving a Chinese individual and members of a Japanese organized crime group.

The report quotes a senior official from the Financial Services Agency (FSA) as saying:

"It's nearly impossible for Japan to handle the problem alone.  Even if trade is restricted to only domestic transfers or monitoring is enhanced, it's still not enough to counter money laundering. It would be best if all the group of 20 industrial and emerging nations and regions (G-20) would take the same steps toward prevention."

The report tracks the exchanges between the Chinese man and his Japanese contacts who meet at a bar in Tokyo's Akasaka district every month to pass information about digital currencies from a network of members-only blogs and social media.

"There were no problems," the Chinese man reportedly told the Japanese gang members as he handed over a USB drive containing information about all money laundering transactions using cryptocurrencies Zcash, DASH, and Monero.

Compiled since June 2016, the file shows the group’s capital totaling almost 30 billion yen ($274 million) after the laundering, with the latest transactions recorded in February this year. They total only 130 million yen ($1.19 million), the small amount being attributed by a gang member to the recent turmoil hitting crypto exchanges and the group’s wish to avoid any attention.

After the exchange, the group moved to an apartment building near the bar to their “base camp.” There, the gang members, mostly engineers and students in their 20s and 30s, work on their computers to convert the money to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum at local exchange operators.

One gang member said, "We have bases just like this all over the Tokyo area. The most important thing is to process the money in small amounts,” adding that all the equipment and personnel were supplied by the gang.

The FSA official commented:

"It's a typical money laundering scheme. In a way, I'm not surprised. If you are going to do something illegal, then everyone knows to use the 'three anonymous siblings.'"

FSA quietly pressuring exchanges to stop handling gang-favored cryptos

In a move to stop money laundering by organized criminal groups, the FSA has been applying pressure on Japanese digital currency exchanges to stop servicing cryptocurrencies used by criminals and hackers to launder money, most notably Monero, Dash, and Zcash.

The FSA has been looking for ways to stop the use of virtual currencies that are hard to track because they have become favorites w the criminal underworld.

Blockchain.com Hires Author of First Cambridge Crypto Course to Head New Research Team

In a blog post, Blockchain.com revealed that Garrick Hileman, author of multiple cryptocurrency research publications, would “lead a new research arm aimed elevating block chain (sic) technology to its full potential.”
The move marks the second high-profile hire for the company in weeks, April seeing ex-Goldman Sachs executive Breanne Madigan join as head of institutional sales and strategy.

While the career pivot seems a natural progression for Hileman, who also developed Cambridge University’s first cryptocurrency course, he stands out among academics and economists alike in his bullish views on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Speaking to Business Insider following the appointment, Hileman said he was surprised that figures such as Nouriel Roubini and Paul Krugman “have a hard time seeing the technology.”

“Some of them don't have the best track record for understanding technology, to be frank,” he told the publication.

“Paul Krugman famously thought the internet wasn't all that more significant than a fax machine. I'm not sure I would have a lot of success helping them understand the significance of this technology as a new platform, as something that in some ways can be compared to the internet.”

“The launch of our Marketplace represents a pivotal moment for our platform and underlines our commitment to driving the future of data utilization and monetization,” said Henri Pikhala, CEO of Streamr, contending that such a marketplace is critical to the realization of grand visions for "smart cities" and interconnected economies.

"If people want to own their data, legislation won’t do that for us"

Nokia will integrate its Kuha transportable base stations into Streamr’s data marketplace to connect rural populations with mobile data networks, while allowing those users to monetize their data and integrate with IoT sensors and devices.

“Providing smart mobile coverage for up to four billion individuals across the world is a major challenge and current solutions don’t go far enough,” said Martti Ylikoski, Radio System Evolution Lead at Nokia.

He continued:

“Our approach is bringing connectivity to unconnected parts of the world. We recognize a growing movement of empowered mobile customers who want to control and monetize their own data. Our partnership with Streamr reflects our firm belief in the platform, as well as our commitment to better serve our customers.”

OSIsoft is a leading provider of operational intelligence in the oil and gas industry and provides an enterprise platform that allows more than 1,000 utilities and infrastructure companies to collect, manage, analyze and visualize data.

“By integrating OSIsoft’s PI System with the Streamr Marketplace, we take a step toward offering our customers the ability to share and monetize their operations data,” said Richard Beeson, CTO of OSIsoft, adding that the value proposition for his firm lies in plugging OSIsoft's enterprise platform seamlessly into an open source platform while allowing for continuous value generation on multiple fronts.

The announcements come on the heels of a data monetization deal inked with Hewlett Packard last week in which the Streamr  platform will be deployed for data collection in automobiles.

法财长态度180度大转弯，对比特币路转粉：希望法国成为区块链和加密货币中心



法国财政部长Bruno Le Maire在与当地企业家举行会议时表达了自己对区块链和加密货币的支持，他希望银行能够为加密货币公司服务，同时完善征税和ICO的评估。法财长曾呼吁取缔比特币，称其存在巨大金融风险。

他说：一年前我才对区块链刚有所了解，现在我对这个行业充满热情。我态度转变的心路历程用了一年。让我们一起教育法国同胞，把法兰西建设成为欧洲区块链和加密币创新的第一选择。


Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance, said during an official breakfast meeting (translated): “I was a neophyte a year ago, but now I’m passionate. It took me a year. Let us teach our fellow citizens to make France the first place of blockchain and active crypto innovation in Europe.”

The meeting was between Le Maire and French entrepreneurs, according to bitcoin.fr, and at it Le Maire expressed his “total and determined support” to the new industry.

Regarding specifics, he favours taxation based on a “single lump sum”, although he didn’t rule out exempting exchanges from taxation, and he believes that ICO evaluation needs to be professionalised.

Le Maire had made negative comments about cryptocurrency in the past. Back in January, he hired a former Bank of France executive to lead a group to study cryptocurrency, saying :”We want a stable economy: we reject the risks of speculation and the possible financial diversions linked to bitcoin.”

At the G20 meeting in March, France and Germany together called on countries to jointly regulate Bitcoin

The Floor, Tel Aviv’s fintech hub, has announced the release of a new platform in partnership with the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Accenture, Hyperledger, and Intel, according to an official press release.

The platform is called Blockchain Securities Lending, and as the name implies, will utilise blockchain technology for securities lending. It will be the first such platform in the country.

Securities lending refers to the act of lending financial derivatives to investors and firms. The benefits of blockchain technology here are its peer-to-peer structure, smart contract capability, and security.

The idea was born during a hackathon in March 2017. It is being built on Hyperledger Sawtooth, which is a modular platform that supports distributed ledgers. Hyperledger Sawtooth was designed by a cross-industry collaborative project called Hyperledger that includes 231 organisations from 25 different countries. Accenture, a management consultancy that first partnered with The Floor in June 2016, is providing consultancy services for the project.

Ittai Ben-Zeev, CEO of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, said: “The Tel Aviv Stock exchange is pleased to present this first of a kind project…blockchain technology will present a new level of safety for securities lending and will support growth for transactions based on this new platform.”

Gil Devora, co-founder of The Floor, said: “In the future, this platform and its cutting-edge technology will be offered to global custodians, stock exchanges and other asset management firms looking to deploy a robust and operational system for securities lending or other asset classes….we believe this is just the beginning of using this platform for multiple use cases.”


Jacob Benadiba, Accenture Country Managing Director for Israel, said: “Blockchain technology is poised to bring sweeping innovation to the global capital markets infrastructure, and this project shows how rapidly this technology is taking hold around the world.”

Rick Echevarria, Vice President of Software and Services Group at Intel, said: “Intel believes blockchain can transform business processes, and Intel SGX technology is an important enabling technology for blockhain solutions. Today’s announcement is exciting as it demonstrates the progress made by TASE, The Floor, and Accenture in developing a solution that accelerates blockchain adoption and, more importantly, brings value to the financial services market in Israel.”

简单来说，钱包就是一个用来存放你的代币的app，它可以让你避免交易所被黑的风险，也可以让你直接跳过交易所跟别人交易。那么，如何选择及使用数字钱包呢？



一、钱包分类

以下从私钥存储方式、存储数据量和使用主体三个维度将钱包进行分类介绍。

（一）按照私钥存储方式分类按照私钥存储方式或私钥是否触网，可以将钱包分类冷钱包和热钱包两大类。冷钱包热钱包介绍视频。

1、冷钱包：是指使用时不需私钥接触网络的钱包，网络无法访问私钥，比如专业的硬件设备，也称硬件钱包或离线钱包，一般通过USB接口、蓝牙、二维码等方式完成私钥签名。

优点：安全等级最高，避免了被黑客盗取私钥的风险；自己真正拥有私钥，不受他人监管。

缺点：硬件相对较贵，一般在1000元左右；创建钱包和交易相对复杂，效率偏低；只支持主流币种，一般新ICO的小币种不支持；存在硬件丢失或损坏的物理安全风险。

适宜人群：持有大额数字资产，比如价值10+比特币以上；计划长期持有，不做频繁交易。

主要代表：Ledger、Trezor 、KeepKey、Bitlox、Digital Box、Electron cash、Armory、库神（国产）等。

2、热钱包：使用时需要接触网络的钱包，包含电脑客户端钱包、手机APP钱包、网页钱包等，也称在线钱包。

优点：创建钱包和交易均简单，使用方便，转账效率高。

缺点：安全性不足，私钥容易被黑客盗取；手机或电脑丢失，私钥容易被专业人士破解。适宜人群：新手、持币数量较少者、频繁交易者。

主要代表：比特派（国产）、imtoken（国产）、http://BTC.com、Electrum等。

（二） 按照存储区块链数据量方式分类按照存储区块链数据量多少方式，可以将钱包分为全节点钱包、轻钱包和中心化钱包三大类。全节点钱包、轻钱包和中心化钱包。




1、 全节点钱包：是指需要同步所有区块链数据的钱包。

优点：可以实现去中心化，更好的隐私性；可以在本地验证交易数据的有效性。

缺点：占用很大的硬盘空间，每次使用前需要同步数据；多币种数字资产支持不好，用户体验欠佳。

适宜人群：企业、专业人士主要代表：Bitcoin Core、Ethereum Wallet等。

2、轻钱包轻钱包，是指依赖比特币网络上其他全节点，仅保存和同步与自己相关的数据。

优点：占用硬盘空间较小，使用时不需同步数据；可以支持多币种数字资产，设计功能简单，用户体验好。

缺点：实现去中心化不足，交易验证相对较慢。

适宜人群：个人、小白用户主要代表：比特派、imToken、Electrum、Armory、Electron Cash、Jaxx等。

3 、中心化钱包，是指不依赖区块链网络，所有的数据均从自己的中心化服务器中获得，也称链下钱包。

优点：平台负责私钥的安全管理，私钥（密码）忘记或丢失可以找回；交易效率很高，可以实时到账，可以支持多币种；钱包被盗，大型交易所一般会给予等值赔偿，另外还会帮助领取免费的糖果（币）。

缺点：过度依赖中心化，存在平台自盗、倒闭、跑路等风险，另外是黑客重点攻击目标。

适宜人群：炒币群体，需要频繁交易主要代表：BlockChain、火币、币安、OTCBTC、OKEX、Bigone、GDAX等。

（三）按照使用主体方式分类按照使用主体方式，可以钱包将分为个人版钱包和企业版钱包两大类。

1、 个人版钱包个人版钱包，是指针对个人用户开发设计的钱包，大部分钱包只有个人版。

优点：操作简单、用户体验佳、免费。

缺点：功能简单、安全级别相对较低。

适宜人群：个人主要代表：Blockchain、http://BTC.com、比特派、imToken等。

2 、企业版钱包企业版钱包，是指针对企业用户开发的钱包，支持企业版的钱包一般也都有个人版。

优点：功能丰富、多级验证、安全级别高。

缺点：操作相对复杂、费用较高、且对资产有门槛要求（Coinbase要求1000万美金）。

适宜人群：企业或机构主要代表：Coinbase、Bitpay、Armory、Bither、Ledge Blue等。

不管用哪一种钱包，创建钱包后会生成一个以 0x 开头的 42 位字符串，这个字符串就是钱包地址，一个钱包对应一个钱包地址，地址唯一且不能修改，也就是说一个钱包中所有代币的转账收款地址都是一样的。

例如，一个钱包中 ETH 的转账收款地址和 EOS 的转账收款地址是一样。这一点和交易平台上的不一样，平台上不同代币的转账收款地址一般都不同，因此，转币到交易平台前一定要确认好地址。往交易所量子币专用的地址打小蚁币，十有八九是找不回来的。



二、钱包选择

对于国内个人用户一般使用比特派、imToken，如果币量不多的话直接放在Blockchain中心化钱包或者大型交易所平台保管，这样就不用担心私钥备份或丢失问题。

对于持币量较大的用户，或者长期投资不做频繁交易的，需要选择专业的硬件冷钱包，当然自己也可以配置冷钱包，需要一定的专业知识；

对于短期投资者，需要频繁交易的，选择交易所钱包即可，交易更方便，同时也减少了反复充币、提币的矿工费；

对于企业使用者，可以选择Bitcoin、Ethereum Wallet等官方钱包，开发对接更方便，如果还有法币兑换、资产托管、对冲基金等需求的，可以选择Bitpay和Coinbase等企业版钱包。

三、安全提醒

钱包公钥、地址均可公开，但私钥、助记词切不可公开，同时需要手写多份备份，放在不同安全地方，备份后并进行验证，以防抄写错误，备份信息不要接触网络，电脑文档、QQ、微信、邮箱、拍照等均不可；

如果安装钱包手机或电脑等设备、备份的秘钥或助记词损坏、丢失、被盗等情况出现，应立刻通过重装将资产转移到其他钱包；不管选择哪种钱包，都只是相对的安全，没有绝对的安全，必须要对私钥或助记词加以备份保管，另外便捷和安全是很难二者兼得的；

钱包下载时官网下载最安全，其次是知名的应用商店，比如Apple Store、Google Play、应用宝、360助手等，如果要求高的话，下载后可以通过检验哈希值是否和官方公示一致的方法进行验证真伪，其他下载渠道就尽量不要使用。

国家互金专委会：虚假虚拟货币有三个主要特点
