说得好！！！我不知道其他的EY的team, 我老公的就是 Advisory, package 60k, 除去super就变成55k啦。现在工作市场不景气，他正在做research, 80k 加上super, 所以是真的犹豫要不要去EY，因为一下子就低了好多。但是因为考虑到以后的发展前景，就想说，钱少就少吧，应该也是暂时的。所以他现在还是有点选择不定，前辈怎么看？

这个真的有点低.
你LG的是advisory下面那个industry的?

但看来人家只当你是newly grad.

要不要先做个post doc,赚两三年的经验,然后走experienced hire?
反正走grad program的话,时间也差不了多少.
不过,走grad program的话,career planning比较好.毕竟人已经在那里了
experienced hire要担心找不找得到match的职位.

对的，他之前的经验都是research的经验，读博士的时候是physics, 和导师一起做的项目。现在是math和medicine一起的research project，才刚刚工作几周而已，也是刚刚拿到的offer没多久。
所以，有可能是他没有相关的industry的经验，所以就当做graduate来处理。他的长处就是数据处理分析，modeling, 还有programming之类的。之前也是去面试了bain的graduate program，但是人家feedback也是他们有别人有consulting经验，选了别人。还有去了IMC面试，trading，都去了二面了，人家说很喜欢他，可是，最后也是说他们有其他的candicate做过trading，所以没有拿到。
说实话，找工作真的是一个很磨人的事，特别是第一份工作，要经历多少打击和挫败，我都觉得太可怜了。
现在所以就看他自己要选哪个了，估计这两周他就得给人家答复。一边钱太少，一边发展前景有限。
我是鼓励他进EY啊，因为我想进，可是进不了，人家不要我。不过最后这个决定还是得他自己来做。

这年头工作机会太少了.
除非是特别对口的.
不然,一堆有经验的跟你pk.

可以问问ey能不能defer offer.然后继续找.
其实你LG的背景,银行4大钱方面比较好.
不过也要看个人性格啦.

他可能也会继续找，但是我觉得这个offer没法defer, 因为想进四大consulting的人多了去了，不在乎钱少。又怕如果错过这个offer，如果又没有找个更好的，那岂不是更麻烦。
哎呀，我懒得帮他担心了，随便了，反正我们俩穷光蛋一个，没有小孩，没有贷款，钱多钱少可能之前意味着我们要等更久才能买上房子，反正现在看悉尼的房价，我们短期内也买不起。
随便他怎么选择吧。这些你给我的建议，确实是，现在工作市场不好，又是第一份工作，很难有完全满意的，能有工作机会就不错了吧。

我建议你老公去跟EY MATCH一下他现在的收入。没理由8万的工作不要做5万5的。而且做RESEARCH不好吗？清净而且人际关系简单。澳洲的四大，我感觉EY是最差的。每年来我们公司做AUDIT的小朋友，都一堆错误，今年我检查他们给我们公司的AUDIT ADJUSTMENT，连DR CR都写反了，我直接跟他们的PARTNER说，明年再派这些小朋友来浪费我们公司的钱，我们就要换AUDIT了。

确实，要他们match是个好主意，可是问题是他们就是招的graduate的新人啊，要match也没有底气，感觉四大这么牛，不会为了一个没有行业经验的人来match吧，可能工作一两年后更有谈match的资历？前辈，能不能请教，在这种情况下，要怎么谈比较好？他是不是应该在打电话给他们接受offer的时候说，该怎么说？

我也有好几个朋友说就该做80k的research, 他们说如果去EY做55k的工作，不知道需要多久才可以做到80k, 毕竟，赚钱养家能够有更好的生活条件也是工作很大的原因之一。

对于EY职员的素质，肯定是有很多新人不是很懂在干嘛的，我也不敢妄加评论，毕竟还是有很多优秀的人从里面出身的。个人差距吧。

还请前辈该怎么和EY谈match的事？谢谢啦

他是15号周二上午面试的，他说大概有40-50个人去面试，他的team有4个人去面试，需要招2个人，所以我估计是一半一半。早上8点半到下午1点半才结束，总共面试的时间。
他是17号周四的时候收到offer的邮件的。所以我估计和楼主是不同的team, 也可能是要面的人太多，他们分批进行的。
他进的Advisory Enterprise Intelligence team, 所以他还蛮喜欢的，所以可能会接受。但是现在需要处理一些股票的事情，才会打电话给他们接受。

55K should be junior advisor's level, i suggest your husband discussed with EY about his experience in his current research project and his current salary, ask EY consideraing upgrade his offer to Senior Advisor's level, the salary of senior advisor should be around 80K as well.

To be honest, your husband won't learn too much from a junior level, most likely just some paperwork preparation, online research, data entry, excel functions, if EY can't upgrade to a senior level, I suggest your husband stay in his current research job, which will earn more high level experience than a junior in Big 4.

作为recently graduate的会计生
觉得四大还挺不错的
但没觉得说好到不行
财务经理也不算很NB的职位
都是后台support而已

Thank you for your honesty, I agree with you, if he enter into EY as a junior, there isn’t much more he can really learn because like you said, all those paperwork work, online research, data, excel is kind of waste time.  His current ability is far beyond that.  He just talked with current supervisor in research, he said he really wants to keep him.  And his contract with the current research is from Mar 2014 to Mar 2015, so he would like to help his supervisor to finish the current project.  His supervisor said he would like to extend the contract with him, and suggested that he is really excellent with what he is doing now, and there is great potential for him to achieve greater for him in the field.  

And he is hesitate to leave now…

Don’t know what’s going on…now…

Change mind and status every second.

I think the way you think is funny, as long as you work in a company, evenually you need to obey to someone. FM obeys to FC, FC obeys to CFO, CFO obeys to CEO, CEO obeys to the board Chairman, chairman obeys to the board directors.

What position you want to be? In real world, there is no such postition where you dont need to obey to someone.

如果你能为公司赚钱 至少你有自己话语权
但如果你是后台 你就得乖乖听话 不对么
accountant在公司的待遇和其他role相比
难道待遇很高？

That is not true. Accountant in Commercial companies has more decision making rights than in any big 4. As a finance manager/management accountant, your opinion is very important for the directors to make big decisions like redundancy, sales manager's commission, salary review, opening/closing territory sales, budgets for purchasing.
I don't know what company you work in, but in a big company, senior accountant/FM/FC is more powerful in decision making or decision making supporting.(if you like the word' supporting').
