觉得楼主在简历上还要下些工夫,  找些 sample 看看, 有针对性的改改

另外要增强信心, 自己都没信心了, 哪个雇主还会对你有信心呢...  best of luck and add oil:)

我想我得简历写的不错了，三天七个面试，应当不错了吧，有的感觉很不错了，都说要做refree check 了，结果还是不成，挺打击人的。愿同处在战线上的兄弟们在新的一年里能有好消息。同时祝大家新春快乐。

我就是做receivable的，一天到晚打电话，最怕遇到很arrogant的，好像他欠钱还有理似的。

但是我做payable，公司没钱就被人打电话烦得要命，有些是NET 7DAYS，事实上，7天哪里可以做那么快啊，那些 receivable一直催啊催，1个月都不到的款，跟催命鬼似的。

顺便请教一下LZ，简历怎么改才能吸引眼球啊。

啊，我都是催60天还没到的款啊，有的还很难要的回来，当然有些客户还是很不错的啦，不是所有的都那么坏。

请问做AR有催款指标吗? 要不回来怎么办?

指标倒没，但老板会看trial balance啊。要不回来还可以用collection agent，还要不回来的就看是不是坏帐，坏帐就write off喽。
我才做2个月，不是很有经验，不知道别的公司是不是都这样。

在这里找会计工作真的是很难阿，尤其是对男的来讲，我都投了200多分简历了，才来了两个电话。我还有澳洲的PART-TIME大公司的一年半的工作经验和澳洲的学历，就连找个AR,AP这样简单的工作都没人给回音。

hmm, the best way is to live with oz family as home stay. If you are flexible person , don't mind religion thing, Christian group is good. They tend to be friendly if you join their believe. The vocab & phrase you learn in bible will boost your english ABOVE AVERAGE LOCAL OZ!
Tips:
1) watch english movie WITHOUT SUBTITLE! After 10 times or more , you can look up the portion you don't know
2) playing radio (talking one) in low volume till you fall sleep (might want to set auto turn off)
3) Use it , not study it. Study is for scholar! You can know how car work , but by no mean you can drive it well without practice.
4)*** Imaging if you were this white people you try to learn english from. How do you feel when he is talking to you or anyone else? Learn the emotion give you great control of how/when to use certain phrase. This can't be find in dictionary but through exp of living with people. Learning language is about learning culture.

我也彻底放弃找会计的工作了。 以前上学的时候在woolworths 打工两年半。有一些retail 的经验。我看我还是在这方面发展吧。搂主坚持。找工作有的时候要看运气的

Well thats really a good tip but probably for those who come here to study masters degree or work through skilled immigration. Of course, language is the critical point for the job interviews. But here the problem is you would hardly get the chance to be interviewed if the CV/resume or coverletter is not attractive, or you dont even search for jobs in a proper way?!  
Plus, I never think those who study bachelor degrees here would have any trouble in language. They just need appropriate CV and intern experiences i guess.
Just don't give up. And make more friends through either religious group or volunteer groups. you never know what your friends would bring you :si115

I worked in China for 15 years in different multinational companies until one day I realised I should change my life again.
Just before you moved in you shall prepare very well in advance.. You can image that no one will believe you and your competence as you are from so called developping country.  You shall have local degree and certificate at least . Then chance to prove yourself.
I find my current job via agent as temp accountant for 2 weeks then acting accountant then finance manager within one year at one public setctor company.If you can not have chance it only tells you that you still have some weaknesses which you do not realise by youself.

The is because you have strong background. It is really hard for people to get into this industry without any relevant experience.

Yes, I agree with that.
As new immigrant we shall have more compentence in competing with local born people. You do not have any chance even if your qualification are the same as locals.

And please also consider the demand and supply relationship during these two months as peak season of recruitment.  Since it was recruitment peak time, more people have planned to resign and go back the job market, so that the supply increased as well as demand.  To most of people which excellent communication capability and competent skills, it is a really good season to find a better job, but for those freshmen or new immigrants, they might not get any chance to be accepted by the job market since more strong competitors existed.

For example, my last contracting role (my first professional accounting experience in Australia) was won in early December, it was a very slack season for job market, but there was not much supply for the market, so I won the opportunity immediately.  

It might not be a strong support for my point, but at least, it told us sometime  we really need some good luck in job seeking.

关键不是靠数量的，lz还是要改好简历，练好对白，准备好面试问题，这才是王道。还有，需要经常浏览求职网站，了解job market的周期，和各种职位的大致要求，才能做到有的放矢。

很重要的一点，underqualify是不会被录用的，但这要到面试后才会最终得出结论，但overqualify也是不会录用的，这个根本就不会给面试机会。所以，如果自己的experience和学历较高，打回头找clerk的工作是肯定不会成功，要么继续争取assistant/graduate accountant以上的工作，要么就隐姓埋名，把自己的高学历和经验隐瞒，从底层做起。

yeah i got my job in early dec too. since i havnt changed my job yet, im not too sure about the recruiting season.   in my opinion, if you were able to work in an multi-national companies in china for years, you wouldn't have any trouble to seek similar positions here. techniques, policies or skils are very similar now around the world (of course in international companies)  what i can see in this forum is most sucessful people are with strong background in either finance/accounting or IT related areas. I'd be interested to hear someone's experience in other industries like chemistry, engineering and etc. I've been wondering my career for a while but Im a chemistry/chemical engineering background person.

没放弃，但时间过得很快，转眼已经第二年了

我过来也两年了，不过还在读书，整体进展还在预先的最坏打算之内，所以也不介意工作没着落。反正就接着找呗，已经在4家中介注册了，每周或者隔周都回给那几个consultant打电话recap一下进度，另外自己也继续投一些简历给没有注册的agent和独立招工的公司。

我自己的感觉，越战越勇，越熟悉这个市场，对自己的英文也越来越有信心，希望，在最近这3个月内会有突破。也祝大家good luck！

我是2006年底BACHELOR-ACCOUNTING 毕业，做了半年的ACCOUNTS了，现在投了一些简历出去，竟然一个FEEDBACK都没有。看了上面各位的留言，质疑是否要改变方向了，以前大都投的是ACCOUNTS。
问题是，很多GRADUATE的职位也是要求有经验的，要是转向ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT，半年经验似乎又太短。如何是好？
