我给我哥哥在前年9月递的申请,签证官给的消息是要等3.5年左右。
下面是签证官发的邮件:
The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship has determined that, as of 25 January 2011, the maximum number of visas which will be granted in the Other Family (Class BO/BU) category for the 2010 -2011 program year is 750. This means that once this limit has been reached, no further Other Family visas can be granted in the 2010-2011 program year.
In order to manage the Other Family visa places in an orderly and equitable manner, a capping and queuing system has been introduced. All Other Family category visas will be assessed in date order of lodgement. If an applicant is found to satisfy the initial core criteria for the grant of the visa, they are then allocated a ‘queue date’ and placed in a queue.
As a result , this office will write to you in the near future advising of a queue date.
Further information on the new capping and queuing arrangements will be made available on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s website at:
www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/capping-and-queuing.htm
底下信息是从澳洲移民局网站上拷贝下来的。
Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applicants
Applications for Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visas with a queue date up to 26 April 2010 and who meet all outstanding requirements can expect their visa to be granted within approximately 3-18 months (measured from 1 July 2011). No further release of applications is likely this financial year. The next release of applications for further processing will occur next financial year. The queue date of applications to be released will be determined once program numbers are announced.
Estimated waiting times of applications that have been assessed and given queue dates later than 26 April 2010, may vary depending on future planning levels as well as withdrawals and refusals. Future releases of queued applications will therefore be announced at the start of each financial year.
Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applications lodged before 1 July 2011 but which have not yet been assessed and queued can expect to wait up to 10 ½ years for a visa (from 1 July 2011). |
