LR
Any rigid motor vehicle with a GVM of more than 4.5 tonnes but not more than 8 tonnes.
Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM.
Any vehicle of less than 8 tonnes GVM which has more than 12 seats (including the driver) eg Toyota Commuter, Toyota Coaster, Mitsubishi Rosa.
Ideal for school minibus, community bus, light courier and meets the minimum requirement for entry into NSW Ambulance Service.
What you need to get your LR (Light Rigid)Licence
You need to have held a class C Licence (not including Learners) for one year or more. First year of green P plates is acceptable.
Pass an RTA LR Knowledge Test
Pass an RTA Eyesight test
At that time ask for a CBA (Competency Based Assessment) Logbook and CBA guide book.
Contact XXX Driving School to book your 1 day LR course. Please have your Logbook with you when you call, as there are details within the Logbook which we require for processing your booking.
A deposit is required to secure and confirm your booking.
This deposit will be deducted from your total course cost. This is non-refundable if you cancel without 72 hours notice.
After successfully completing the course return to your local RTA and exchange your completed Logbook for your upgraded Licence. (No RTA truck driving test required).
NOTE: Red P Plate holders are not eligible to apply for an LR Licence.
