RESULTS OF ENTRY ASSESSMENT
Verbal Reasoning
This test assesses natural language skills and the ability to solve problems dependent upon the language medium.
There were 15 questions.
The number answered correctly was 14.
Non-Verbal
These questions determine the ability to distinguish patterns in, and relationships between, numbers and shapes. It is a test of natural potential which is influenced very little by learning or by skills in the English language.

Maths
For this test, students require the mathematical skills provided by the school curriculum. The questions, however, focus more on measuring mathematical understanding and reasoning as well as problem solving skills.

English Comprehension
These questions measure skill in the “plain sense” comprehension and interpretation of prose material. The test is structured so that the questions gradually increase in difficulty.
The papers for entry to Grades 3 to 6 contain the same 35 questions so that higher scores are expected from the older children.
The number answered correctly was 30.
Creative Writing
Students were asked to produce a short piece of creative writing on a specific topic. These are marked according to the expectations of the Grade level.
Writing pieces were assessed as a score out of 10.
The mark awarded was 4.
