还是一道GA题

This is just a basic multiplication question. V= 8x4=32

Above is what you said.

You can never achieve the conclusion that 1 cube represents a value of 4.
Like I said above, you have 8 cubes, and the given shape appears 7 times, you get a value of 56, not 32

Remember this question is not asking you how many cubes there are, it is asking you the value of the 3D shape,

you don't like comments, it is find. you can stick to whatever you like :) , my previous reply simply proved your statement is wrong, it is not saying you have to give a value to each side. If you don't understand, maybe you should to type Chinese

By the way, I know it's not asking me how many cubes there are. That's obvious. My theory is not trying to tell you
how many cubes there are. It's about the value of the larger 3D shape.

step 1: below is the shape



step 2: given shape appears 7 times, some cubes are shared

step 3: 7*8=56.

Done? which part don't you understand?


BTW, I totally understand your way of understanding this question, the only thing I want to say is your interpretation or my interpretation doesn't necessary to be the right one. I don't think this question is meant to be the way I interpret it but my logic behind my answer makes sense. So you can stick to A, or I can stick to my answer B

Are you allowing overlapping?

If you don't allow overlapping, the double cube block can only fit 4 times into the bigger shape.

You may be right, but if you are right, I want to know why.

Let me ask another question, if you only look part of the entire 3D shape, does the part have a value? and what it is? for instance, the shape above has 4 little cubes, does it have a value? or what it is? is it 8? or 0, or 24

if you are asking this question like I do, you may understand why you should overlap.

Like I said, this question is totally flawed

I think you're right. 8x7 = 56.

Why do you say this question is flawed? Do you think it's too hard or just a bad question?

Because the way how value is defined in this question is ambiguous.

I think your approach and my approach both fall within the curriculum. It really depends on how the question is interpreted. Question like this shouldn't be included in the test because it causes confusion.

I think it would be a better question if it simply asks how many cube the 3D shape has. Keep it simple.

刚才问了儿子，他说答案是32,或者是56，因为在补习班的时候，类似的题答案可能不一样，大部分情况是把图形直接分解成单元，即把这题直接变成1个立方是4，一共8个立方，所以答案是4x8，但有时候又不可以分开，就变成了7x8。关键是几乎所有题目都没有标明可不可以断开，所以会比较困惑。但如果题目是3个立方等于8，就意味着不可以拆分。
好在儿子说OC和selective考试中，没有出现过这类模棱两可的答案，所以这题的关键还是空间想象力，不用纠结是32还是56

对的。想不出就跳过。

不过，这道题没有足够的空间想象力也可以解出来，因为选择题四个答案肯定有一个是正确的，用估算可以得出结果。

感谢lz公布答案了 这个答案比较符合4年级的思维。如果overlapping 7*8=56的算法的话就太烧脑了。
说实话，我看这题没有大家解释的话都看不懂。只有窃喜自己已经成人不用受这种题目的折磨

选A 1 block value 4，即使是两块blocks放在一起 依然是value 4 不管方块是正反放 总是底下那一面不算value了，选A没毛病啊
