The same applies to fixed-term agreements of more than 3 years unless the tenancy agreement specifies a break fee of another amount.

你不明白，我明白。这是规定，不是举例说明。
你要是不放心的话，可以去个fair trading的办公室问一下，不过那人必须要非常nice才会回答你，一般顶多就是给你打一份材料，让你回家看去了。
或者你可以去whirlpool上面发个英文的帖子，看人怎么说。有的人信英文比信中文多些。我理解。

对的，看了下，break fee是个optional的选项

如果租房合同约定了break fee，那只需要支付break fee就可以搬走了。

如果没约定break fee，那就要支付房租直到租期满或者找到新房客

但是约定break fee也不一定就对租客有利。如果约定了break fee，哪怕房东第二天就找到新房客，前租客也要付满这个break fee。

我有点糊涂了。看了你的链接。好像你说的是对的，要一直付到找到新房客。
除非签租房合同的时候就明确breaking fee.

我是NSW，上回租客提前走，中介要求他们多付了四周的违约金，不过我好像也没有什么合算的，再次出租的中介费好像是我付的，租房用了一周，租客搬进来前又空了两周，所以好像就多赚了几天的钱而已
