Applicant for 804 is not eligible for Medicare benefits as they are holding Bridging Visa.
Just my two cents!
Parent visas (subclass 103 and 804)
A parent visa is a permanent resident visa. Holders of these visas are eligible for full Medicare benefits (not applicants for these visas).
From 1 January 2001, the following persons are not eligible for Medicare benefits, a:
person who is an applicant for a parent visa
holder of a protection visa who applied for the protection visa before 1 January 2001 and is an applicant for a parent visa
holder of a protection visa who applied for the protection visa after 1 January 2001 and was an applicant for a parent visa at any current or previous time.
Note: If an applicant is from a country with which Australia has a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement (RHCA), they may be eligible for enrolment under that particular agreement, see Reciprocal Health Care Agreements. This also applies to applicants that currently hold a visa subclass 410. The parent visa application supercedes the visa subclass. |
