If you are in Australia and want to apply online to extend your stay for tourism purposes you will be required to meet all of the following:
hold a valid ETA (Visitor) (subclass 976), an eVisitor (subclass 651), Tourist visa (subclass 676), or a paper lodged tourist visa granted for a stay of three months or less
not have condition 8503 'No further stay' imposed on your current visa or have been granted an 8503 waiver
not intend to stay more than six months from the date you last entered Australia
meet all the eligibility criteria for this visa.
Note: If you intend to stay more than six months from the date you last entered Australia, or currently hold a visa other than those listed above, you will be required to lodge a paper application to extend your stay at any office of the department.
