Badminton: Victoria Na defeated Slovakia's Monika Fasungova 21-12 21-18 in her opening-round match at Wembley Arena. Na, 21, is Australia's only athlete in the singles badminton competition after earning a last-minute call-up.

Interesting Facts

Victoria Na will be Australia's only singles representative in London. She will fulfil her Olympic dream after taking up the sport that her father, a keen player himself, got her involved when she was 9.
She won her first national junior title in 2005, taking out the U/15 singles division before going on to win the Australasian U/17 singles title in 2007 and the Australasian U/19 singles title in 2009.
Na had a strong 2011 competing in a number of tournaments in Africa winning the Ethiopia and Namibia International events and coming runner up at the Zimbabwe International. Closer to home, Na claimed 2nd place at the Altona Cup and the Manukau International.
Welcoming the world's best to Australia in early 2012, Na had an opportunity to take on some of the leading contenders for medals in Sydney at the Yonex International. Despite being knocked out early, the opportunity to play opponents she may face in London in front of a home crowd was a boost heading towards the London Games.

我小儿几年前也在kilsyth跟她父亲练的，那里还有曾经进入世界前20和代表澳洲去过奥运的印尼女将Lenny做教练

怪不得以前经常看见她在Kilsyth训练呢，他爸是哪一个？

矮矮胖胖的，满头白发，曾经是印尼双打名将。

去年她爸陪她去非洲美洲不停地比赛，为的就是赚奥运积分，连埃塞俄比亚纳米比亚都去了，不容易啊。最终都拿到奥运入场劵。
