We value efficiency, initiative, and a collaborative spirit. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our office runs seamlessly while supporting critical functions in finance, HR, and administration.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive professional to manage our day-to-day office operations and support core business functions. This is not just an administrative role; you will be directly responsible for payroll, basic accounting, HR support, and acting as a key point of contact for the team. If you are an organized problem-solver who enjoys variety and taking ownership, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Payroll:
Process a small company payroll accurately and on time.
Prepare and lodge TAX returns (BAS/IAS) and Superannuation payments.
Assist with basic bookkeeping, expense reporting, and budget tracking.
Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with company needs and budget.
Office Operations & Management:

Oversee all office administrative functions, including supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
Maintain a safe, clean, and fully functional workspace.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, promptly addressing queries and resolving issues.
Arrange company events, meetings, and logistics.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other business documentation as required.
HR & Administrative Support:

Assist with the full employee lifecycle: help onboard and offboard employees, and maintain accurate records.
Support HR with administrative tasks, including assisting with hiring (job postings, initial screening, interview coordination).
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provide direct administrative support to the CEO and Operations Manager as required.
Handle a variety of ad-hoc tasks to support team efficiency.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience)

Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience is required.
Proven experience in office management, administration, or a similar operational role.
Strong understanding of payroll procedures, superannuation, and basic tax requirements.
Exceptional organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a professional and helpful demeanor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting/payroll software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Skills & Attributes

Experience with basic HR administrative functions.
A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
