1. generate a report regarding the sick leave mistake, explain the whole lot, and write down your suggestion or your solution to sort the mistake, with analysis of each employee's sick leave entitlement.
2. talk to your own manager about the whole issue, and aks him if it's fine to him that You, him and HR to have a meeting.
3. sit down with those people with your reports and solution in step 1.asking for their opinions. By that time, you will see how it is going.
4. The main reasons for doing the above are: (a) protect yourown
(b) sort out the sickleave issue. well, you have to sort it out as soon as possible. But only when you are well protected, you can do it properly without make yourown in trouble.
