I started job hunting around three weeks ago and didn't get any response. Since my CPA exam is coming soon, I decided to stop job hunting and concentrate on study. Yesterday around lunch time I got a phone call from agent. As I didn't expect any phone calls and I am at work, I was a bit panic. I didn't get much details from the agent, not even know who he is, where he is calling from. He asked a few questions and my expectation of salary, time of notice for leave, issue of transport etc. Then he said he will contact me soon, and ask when will be the best contact time. I thought since he will contact me again, then just wait for his call. After came back from work, I checked the records of my job hunting and could not find any info to match with the call. Today I have been waiting for his call for the whole morning, but in vain. Well, that's life. When you put all your hope on something and keep waiting for it, it won't happen. Maybe I should just leave it and move on. One lesson is next time I need ask his name and company first, maybe his contact number as well. |
