Are there any one who have ever studied tax law, specially in 'Tax policy'? I choose the following topic as my research paper.
Deadline is coming but I did not got much ideas yet.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion/oppions in this topic.
The design of GST system is intended to overcome the problem of tax cascading (ie, a tax on a tax). However, in practice this tax does cascade both GST (through input taxing of some supplies) and other (non-GST) taxes. Using examples in the case of both the GST and other (non-GST) taxes, detail how this cascading occurs, how this problem could be overcome in theory and wether it would work in practice? In your discussion, give particular attention to the principle of a good tax system, specifically efficiency and simplicity. |
