International bi-Lingual Senior Internal Auditor

Job Description:
One of our top non-automotive clients is currently setting up interviews for a Senior Internal Auditor position (International/Domestic) to be based in West Michigan at corporate HQ.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

A 3 Billion Dollar Fortune 1000 multi-national, well diversified, manufacturing corporation that has nothing to do with the automotive industry. They are the leaders within their niche and are financially sound.

Key Locations: London, UK; Madrid, Spain; Bavaria, Germany; Casablanca, Morocco, Strasbourg, France; Hong Kong and mainland China; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Grand Rapids, MI; Dallas, TX; Athens, AL; Atlanta, GA; High Point, NC; New York, NY; Toronto, Canada.

Strong preference for foreign language skills. In order of preference:

1. German

2. Spanish

3. French

4. Chinese (Mandarin)

Travel 20% of the year on average. Much of the work is done remotely which cuts down on travel. Domestic trips are rarely over one week. Europe is around 10 days. Asia is usually 2 weeks.

Last 4 individuals rotated out of audit in about 24 months into: a controller role; another went to corporate finance role; another became a supply chain lead and one went to Tax. Our client will not hire you unless your goal is to leave audit and join a leadership position in another business group that is of interest to you and is aligned with your strengths and knowledge base.

Will pay for relocation costs.

You will start with two weeks vacation in the bank and then accrues at a pace of 3 weeks annually.

Technical training offered through IIA and/or other professional development organizations. Advanced degree support provided through reimbursement. Soft skills improvement comes from on site University. Great variety of classes to take & they tailor to your needs.

The ideal candidate is currently employed with a Big 4 firm or someone with 3 years Big 4 and then 1.5 years with minimum 1BB manufacturing company in a significant finance role.

No interest in those who do not already have their CPA or have a very good reason why they don t have one yet.

Masters a plus as is CIA or other pertinent certifications.

Ideal years experience is 3.5 years to 6

Not terribly interested in home grown professionals who have never left West MI and never plan to.

Strong preference for Education from Big Ten or equivalent, i.e. MSU, U of M, U. of Chicago, etc.

Current team & Finance: One Manger three seniors. IT Audit one manager and two seniors.

SOX audit 5% of time.

MBA a plus.

Diverse educational exposure a plus.

Need someone who is passionate about what they do with high energy and can work with people at all levels of management including VP's. Can you think independently? Do you have critical thinking skills? Can you develop a point of view not requiring spoon feeding?

Hahha. Personally I found them to be interesting, rather than offensive.as the typical stereotype of work of auditor is considered as broing and dull, this ads certainly stands out and grabbed my attentionn, very appealling.

I agree. There is lots of personalities and wit in this ad, and the candidate will already know that the employer want the down-to-earth, straightforward type of person to work in this role. Good for everybody.
