关于澳洲大学的奖学金？

这个问题好像以前问过。

如果是Overseas身份来读高中，高中会考成绩很好的话，有机会拿到大学奖学金吗？听别人说只有master和PHD才有机会申请到，如果是postgraduate是没有给overseas students的奖学金的，不管成绩有多好。不知道是否属实

Only undergraduate performance counts unless you have peer-reviewed publication. Nothing else counts. International scholarships are very competitive.  But you don't need master to take on Phd. EVEN you get a master here, there is not much difference unless you publish good papers during your master or impress your supervisor that she uses her own funding to support you. But very unlikely as an international student, because she has to pay for both tuition and financial support. You are basically asking for 200k AUD dollars (PhD usually takes 4 years) which she can hire a Postdoc for 2-3 years, who can be 3-4 times productive than a novice PhD.
If you are from top 5 (Tsinghua or equivalents), 80/100 may have a chance.
If you are from top 30 universities, >85/100 is a must. Otherwise, you need >90/100.

The Role: A PhD student scholarship is available for a self -motivated individual to join a collaborative research team at the school of Aerospace Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, RMIT University. The team, working under Professor John Mo, Discipline Head of Manufacturing and Material Engineering, consists of staff from RMIT University, collaborative universities and industrial partners in Melbourne. The research is on high speed manufacturing processes of components for next generation aircrafts using non-traditional metals. The research will be based at our Bundoora campus.

The Person: Applicants are expected to have a background in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, or mechatronics. A knowledge of, or experience with signal process or software development will be an advantage. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will commence his/her study from July 2008. The applicant should be eligible to enrol in to the PhD program in RMIT.

Remuneration: The scholarship is available for 3 years. Successful applicants will be offered a stipend equivalent to an APA scholarship for full-time students. It is available to Australian citizens and permanent residents. International applicants are also welcome to apply, however, the normal international student tuition fees cannot be waived and they will have to pay from their own sources.
