请问那位成功把 Windows 8.1 restore back to Windows 8.

As there is no Lic sticker in most of brand PC any more, if using a normal W8 Disc, there will be no key to fininsh the re-installation.

Most of Laptop comes with recovery image, no Disc. And most of users had not created the recovery disc or recovery image in Flash Drive, before they upgraded their W8 to W8.1. Disc or Image created under W8.1 (upgraded from W8, the recovery partition should be still in W8) is not working for the reset.

That is why I am thinking whether it is possible to restore it back to W8, then the Disc can be created under W8.

just to confirm do you know that, from Win8, MS enforce manufacture to inject a unique win8 key into bios? that's how you reinstall Win8/8.1

Yes, get the key from BIOS via some free key finder softwares. However, if getting a method to have the recovery partition work again, that will face less driver issues and might also get some free softwares from the manufacturer (some customers like them).
