The Position


Working within a matrix based organisation, you will be responsible for all aspects of the design and development process as well as supporting the introduction of new products into manufacture.  You will play an integral role in providing strong technical leadership in achieving project outcomes and as a senior member of the Electronics team, you will be looked on to provide additional support to your colleagues and be a key contributor in the Chief Electronic Engineer’s absence.



You will be required to contribute across a number of broad categories:



Electronics Design

You will be responsible for the detailed electronic design of our products and drive these activities from concept through to completion.  You will also collaborate with researchers on new technologies and implement and develop electronic prototypes.



Verification and Design Transfer

Using experience and sound judgment you will  lead the development and testing for quality and prepare products to move into production.  You will work closely with a cross-functional team from software and mechanical engineers through to test, supply chain and external suppliers.



Electronics Domain

You will take a proactive role within the electronics domain to not only contribute to technical outcomes but help, assist and mentor other members of the team.




Skills and Experience


You will be highly motivated to achieve project results and display strong initiative, tenacity and most importantly, responsibility, for the work you do.  You will be a creative and lateral problem solver who thrives in working in an autonomous, fast paced position. You will also display strong leadership and communication skills.



You must also be able to demonstrate:


·         5 + years in embedded electronics design.

·         Product development experience, ideally with portable embedded systems.

·         Digital design expertise.

·         Proficient using Altium.

·         Design for manufacture experience.

·         Previous experience taking design transfer into production.

·         FPGA design knowledge will set you apart from other candidates!
