可以给个active English 的连接吗? 是这个吗?

Yes, one of my colleague recommended it to me. She used to tutor students up to year 12. There are some writing books in Excel series too.
I asked my daughter to write something at least once a week and then give her marks out of 10. I list some good things and things she needs to improve. I always ask her to plan before writing. There are only a few writing styles and tips to every style. For example narrative, there should be at least 5 paragraphs (set the scene: where, who, when; complication; complication progresses, complication get resolved and conclusion). Then I ask her to use adjectives and adverbs and always think of descriptions (using some of your senses: what you can see, waht people feel). I tell her to use at least 1-2 similies. I teach her sentence structure when I found mistakes. After a few practices she usually gets hold of it. I don't think she is gifted in writing, but with such training she can get an average mark at least.
To answer one of the other questions, her vocabulary is not very good as well. She reads very fast and it has already came and bite us on reading and comprehesion. I now ask her to do reading session that after reading she has to write 5 interesting things about the book, find 5 new words and check dictionary and remember it, copy 5 interesting descriptions from the book and we analyze together why those are good (if she can use similar style in her writing she gets extra marks for it). I haven't been doing this for long so not sure if it works for her.
I also have reward system that if she gets extra points she gest extra minutes for story that night. I tell story to them before bedtime, we have a imaginary pet that I have to create a story most of the nights which mirrors what happened to them of the day. Good way to teach them and "brain wash" them of what I want them to learn :) so far she is quite enjoying the work I gave to her.
Hope it helps |
