如何提高英语写作能力，特别是申请工作时的写作？

在申请工作时，发现自己的英语写作能力很差。每次写 cover letter 都是绞尽脑汁，发现自己组织句子的能力极差，词汇也很贫乏。请大家推荐提高写作能力的方法。

还真是写不出。读高中就来这里。中文和英文听说读都没有问题，不过写就两种语言问题都大大的。

Cover letter is difficult.
I wrote mine recently and thought it looks alright.
Asked a dude to have a look. He literally  changed every sentence. No kidding.
My suggestion would be that you should get someone to go through it for you, because you have to present your writing skill in this letter not just be able to write it right but also professionally.

Give you an example on the difference,
Mine:
"I am writing to you to apply for the xx position of the xxx department at the xxx company."
His;
I am writing to you in order to present my application for the xxx position, xxx department, which the xxx company currently has advertised.
