pretty much sandwiches all year round, ham, turkey, chicken, beef, cucumber, etc.
once a week pasta (cold) or a sausage bun.
once a week lunch order from canteen.
not only lunch, you also need to pack morning tea (and afternoon tea, if your child goes to After-school-care, like mine). then breakfast bars, biscuits, a tub of yoghurt, a piece of fruit, a pack of fruit juice, and a big bottle of water are must-haves! every Friday I give a treat, either a pack of chips, a small chocolate, or lollies.
A number of schools do NOT allow nuts or products contains nuts, so no peanut butter, no Nutella, etc.
Quite boring as I see it, but you know what, the kid's priority at school is certainly not food, so make it as simple and fast as possible. Do not overpack, and do not pressure the child to finish the lunch box everyday, he/she might soon learn a 'game' called 'chuck-the-food'
