I have an urgent requirement for a Network Engineer for a 3-6 months contract with view to permanent. This is  with a top Australian company based inner Melbourne.

This role will have you implement complex network solutions, prepare final configuration for the sites to be implemented, configure Cisco switches and routers and end to end performance testing of the network.

To be successful you must have:

•Hands on experience in Routing & Switching, IP VPN technologies.
•Worked in MS Operating system 2003, 2008 servers
•Knowledge of LAN and WAN transport media (Ethernet, FR, DSL, ATM, SDH, SONET, TDM - E1/ T1 etc).
•Knowledge of Provisioning of VPN/ MPLS / broadband circuits in an IP/MPLS network.
•Configuration experience on medium and high-end Cisco LAN/ WAN products.
•Experience on Cisco IOS and routing protocols
•Experience in redundancy protocols
•Minimum CCNP
•Experience in the design, installation, maintenance and,support of LAN / WAN networks file servers, storage and peripherals in both physical and virtual environments
•Expertise in VMware
•Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
