0. Press Windows key + R
OR
Click Start then click Run...
1. Type in:
cmd
then click OK
2. Type in:
ipconfig
and press Enter. Example output is:- C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ipconfig
- Windows 2000 IP Configuration
- Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 5:
- Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : local.lan
- IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.9
- Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
- C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>
复制代码 3. Look for the line that begins with:
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
^^ This number is the IP address you need to log onto your modem router.
4. Start Internet Explorer, or Firefox.
5. Type the number from Step 3 into the address bar e.g.
http://192.168.1.1/
6. It might ask for username and password, common ones are:
u/n: admin
p/w: admin
u/n: admin
p/w: password
u/n: admin
p/w: <no password>
If these do not work, find your modem router from this list:
http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc/hardware/
and then click on your model, when the page opens scroll down and look for both:
Default admin username
Default admin password
7. Once logged in, look for the status page and report back here the line sync speeds both down and up. |
