We are writing to you in unprecedented times for energy markets.
We know Australian households are already facing significant cost of living challenges, and we don't want to contribute to those any more than needed. We are now in the unpleasant position of advising you that you can get much better prices with another power company.
We recommend that you switch to another power company as soon as possible while good prices are still available.
This situation is no fun, but we are not your typical power company, so we want to be straight up with you. That’s why we’re telling you there is better value right now with other retailers with different operational structures. You can avoid dramatically increased prices by switching to a different power company now.

What's going on?
Wholesale energy costs have more than doubled compared to the same time last year in Victoria. This is putting unprecedented pressure on smaller retailers who are forced to pass on these costs to customers. This is unlike any event we have seen in Australia before.

With prices this elevated, every extra customer we have increases the need to buy more, extremely expensive, electricity in the future. In short, the more customers we have the higher our prices will need to go.
We entered the market to make things better, and we are proud of the pressure we have been able to put on prices. We have saved Aussies a lot of money over the past few years, and we would prefer to keep it that way. At the moment, the best thing we can do is tell the truth: You may find a much better deal with someone else.
What next?
We ask that you switch retailers as soon as possible to avoid higher prices. This could save you hundreds of dollars a year.
The truth is that your prices could double if you choose to stay.
Our plan is to continue to be honest with our customers, and we’d love to have you back in the future when the market settles down, but right now, we don't know when that will be. We aren’t giving up on helping Aussies save money, but we do want to be straight up about what's best for you.
