Paternity leave
Paternity leave is paid and unpaid leave available to male employees, consisting of an unbroken period of 1 week following the birth of the child and a further unbroken period of up to 51 weeks in order to be the primary care-giver of the child. Up to 2 months of this unbroken period can be taken as paid leave. The paid leave is normally paid in two instalments: one month is paid when you start your leave, and one month after completing 3 months' service after your return to work. |
