About the role
The position will manage and fully develop any existing and new software systems required for internal or external customers. You will be reporting to the group IT Manager but will be totally responsible for all software development projects.
Skills & experience
Extensive experience in the below is mandatory and at least 5 or more years in this field will be highly regarded.
· Full MEAN stack (Mongo, Express, Angular, NodeJSt)
· Extensive knowledge & experience with AWS Cloud Services (Amazon EC2 System)
· Server & Database Architecture Design & Development.
· RDBMS (MS SQL)
· Database Management/Maintenance - specifically MongoDB & MSSQL
· CSS framework (Bootstrap)
· SPA's (Single Page Applications) development
· Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Linux) experience (server maintenance)
· XMPP (Prosody Server)
· FTP Server technologies
· State Machines
· Knowledge of writing NodeJS server scripts and other server scripting would be advantageous
· API Integration
· Video & Audio streaming knowledge & experience
· UX Development
· Multiple Browser Experience (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
· Smart Device App Development (iOS & Andriod)
· QA & Testing
· Full Documentation Experience
Additionally we are looking for someone who also has the following
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to liaise and hold meetings with stakeholders.
· Sound analytical skills.
· Able to work in a small team.
· Information Systems degree or equivalent experience.
