请问有没有做人事方面的专家懂得sick leave

在NSW， sick leave 一般是给8天或10天每年。 这8天的sick leave是一开始工作就可以用了，还是应该按照工作时间的比例给的。 比如我只工作了6个了，就只能用4天sick leave呢，还是能用8天sick leave.

在我工作的地方,你要先工作满3个月然后才可以用sick leave,你可以一次把10天的都用完.不知道你那里是否一样

Depends on the company. Some will let you use the sick leave as long as you have accumulated enough sick leave hours in the book. Some won't let you use it until one year of employment as the hours are accrual and they're not yours yet.

But in general, you can't use more sick leave than you have on the payroll system. If you really have to, you need to use your annual leave or unpaid leave.

我们公司也跟LS说的那样，累计了多少sick leave就可以take多少，如果实在有急病的话也可以提前休，比较灵活，就看上面怎么批了。

一年10天的personal leave (sick leave+ carers leave) 是建立在你每天的工作时间上的。一天工作7.6小时 38小时/周的话， 一年可以有76小时的personal leave (10天)。

如果一天工作8小时，40小时/周， 一年可以有80小时 personal leave (10天)。

同理如果一天只工作6小时， 30小时/周， 一年就只有60小时的personal leave可以用。
计算是按照pro rata来的。
根据法律persnoal leave是最少一个月就应该累计一次 （accure after 1 month ordinary time worked）， 所以法律上工作1个月之后就可以休personal leave.但是要根据你的contract来， 有些contract都有说明在probationary的3个月里不可以休,如果没有特别说明， 就是工作满1个月后就可以休了。

我有一个问题：

比如第一年我没休息，那么第2年是否可以多休息？（累计？）

如果sick leave 不能累计，那么annual leave是否可以？ （比如1年10天，三年不休息则可一次30天？）

both sick leave and annual leave can roll forward to the next year if you can't finish it in the current year.

the only thing is that when you resign, you won't be able to get paid for your unused sick leave, but your unused annual leave will be paid. So I always try to use all my sick leave first

oh hang on, I just notice #6's last sentence......

well,, generally you won't be able to take all the sick leave in once for 30 days, unless, you are really sick,,eg have an operation etc. You will need to provide doctor certificate when you take 2 days or more sick leave. Some firms will ask for doctor certificate if you take it on Monday, Friday, or before/after public holiday.

In contrast, you could use your annual leave all in once for 30 days. All you need to do is apply for it early^^
