官网上Residential property的定义是这样的:
Land in NSW is residential property at a particular time if there is, at that time, a building on the land lawfully occupied as a place of residence or suitable for occupation as a place of residence.

也就是说,这是指第一套用于居住的房,而不分是自主还是投资。如果有了第1套投资房,第2套是自住,虽然它是第一个自住房,但是没资格了

申请FHOG,你到底以FHOG的Eligibility requirements为准,还是以一个解释Residential property的定义为准?
rensidential property当然是用于居住的房子,但这里最重要的区别是 是你自己住 还是 租给别人住 ? 你没有注意到occupied (by who?)这个字眼,它强调的就是这个。
你好好看看这段话的意思
All applicants and/or their spouse/de facto have not owned on or after 1 July 2000 a residential property and occupied that property jointly, separately or with some other person in any State or Territory of Australia for a continuous period of at least six months.
occupied by all applicants and/or their spouse/de facto jointly, separately or with some other person是重点,如果occupied房子的只是租客,显然不在此例。(OSR的要求里没有直接用投资房,自住房的字眼,因为如果用了,为了表达准确和避免混淆,那还不是得再单独把这两个词解释定义一遍?所以他的要求里用的就是这两个概念的直接阐述,避免繁冗)
我认识的人好几个都是先买投资房,再买自住房拿的FHOG。你要还是觉得不可以,那随你的便,毕竟没人强迫你去申请。
