这位同学,去新西兰不关中国大使馆什么事~
The below is the email NZ IMMI sent to me when I made the enquiry:
To be eligible to enter New Zealand visa waiver and be deemed to hold residency while in New Zealand, Australian resident visa holders must have permanent resident visa with the 5 year return residence visas issued by the Department of Immigration and Australian Citizenship (DIAC). Or they must hold valid Australian passports.
Immigration New Zealand does not recognise any Australian temporary residence class of visa. If you are not sure about your Australian Visa then you should speak with DIAC to confirm whether you have the 5 year return residence visa or not. If you do not have this visa, which allows re-entry into Australia, then you will have to apply for a visitor visa to come to New Zealand.
The information you have provided indicates to me that your grandchildren are fine to enter NZ on their Australian passports without the need to apply for any visa. Your son and daughter may just have to check that they have the 5 year return residence visa issued by Australia. Then they will not have to make a visa application. Note that these visa types are often electronically issued and are registered against a persons electronically readable passport.
You and your wife most likely will need to apply for visitor visa because your residence visa is only of a temporary type.
For more information on making a visitor visa application please refer to the Sydney branch pages of our web-site and look at the Visitor visa checklist. See the link below:
