据报道澳大利亚海军在北领地海岸北部水域拦截了个坐满了寻求庇护者的一条船。
周三的NT新闻报导了澳大利亚皇家海军上周三早上在离大陆海岸线约90海里或说165公里的巴瑟斯特岛附近，拦截了一艘寻求庇护者的船。海军水兵登上这个叫里斯基- 02号的简陋的蓝白色的渔船上拍照，船上载满身穿黄色救生衣的寻求庇护者。
据悉，这是新年来进入澳大利亚水域的第一艘寻求庇护者船。

First asylum boat for new year
The Australian navy has reportedly intercepted a boat filled with asylum seekers in waters north of the Northern Territory coastline.
The NT News reported on Wednesday that the Royal Australian Navy intercepted an asylum seeker vessel about 90 nautical miles – 165 kilometres – from the mainland coast, near Bathurst Island, on Wednesday morning. Navy sailors were photographed on board a simple blue and white fishing boat named Riski-02, along with a boat-load of asylum seekers wearing yellow life jackets.
It is the first asylum seeker vessel reported to have entered Australian waters this year.
A spokesman for Australian Customs and Border Protection would not confirm the arrival, saying that government announcements on asylum seeker boat arrivals were limited to its weekly briefings on the progress of its border protection program, Operation Sovereign Borders.
The Abbott government's Immigration Minister Scott Morrison did not hold a briefing last week, but issued a statement on Friday that asylum seeker boat arrivals were slowing down, with none having arrived in the past week.
“The boats have not yet stopped but they are stopping,” Mr Morrison said in the statement.
