A new role for an Oracle Developer to design, develop and maintain our database solutions and products.  

The Oracle Developer is responsible for:

Designing Databases for internal as well as client projects
Developing, testing and implementing processes for building Data Products and Client Solutions
Maintaining all the processes related to Data products and Database solutions
Maintaining Data Security at various levels
Monitoring performance of various processes
Reviewing processes and products periodically
Producing, following and maintaining development standards
Providing backend support to the applications built
Providing Database support to all other teams, as necessary
Maintaining appropriate documentation


Skills and Experience

Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years experience designing databases / Data Warehouses
Minimum of 2 years experience in handling large volumes of data
Minimum of 7 years experience in Oracle Database Development   
Minimum of 5 years experience in Unix or Linux operating systems
Outstanding SQL*Plus and PL/SQL skills
Outstanding Unix Shell scripting skills
Good MS Office skills

Desirable Skills
o       Good Perl programming skills   
o       Good SQL Server databases skills
o       Understanding of Java     

Personal Qualities
·         Proactive and organised, with excellent time management and planning skills
·         Able to work independently as well as in a team
·         Ability to work well under pressure
·         Ability to run multiple tasks at the same time
·         Excellent communication skills
·         Confidence to challenge intelligently
·         Self motivated
