Good commminication skills in english, It is a client-facing role with alot  phone support.

1. Linux = Good(Apache,postfix,sendmail,mysql,php.....)
2. Windows = Moderate (Don't mind   learning and developing in Windows area if needed. )
3. Cisco = Highly desirable!!

Salary: $60K~70K package.

It is a Level-3 role,there are 2  Leve-1 supports to cover the front line. However if the Level-1 are busy, the Level-3 is exptected to support disgusting  Level-1 issues such as domain registration,trouleshooting email problems.

It is suitable for the 2nd job of new immigrant who has 1 year local experinece who want to learn in big IT environment and improve english.

The opportunity arises because the current Linux engineer sucks. The boss is going to fire him if I can find the right person.

如果是webhosting的公司还能够称为expert的还不是guru?

我觉得这里人对EXPERT的解释也不大相同...

anyway, 大概5年经验以上了...60K-70K还不算离谱了...

He doen't need to be guru but be smart who has can-do attitude and solve problem quickly and cleverly

There will be a dedicated Network engineer to cover network. However the Linux engineer nice to have Cisco skills as a backup.

见了很多说EXPERT的也就那么回事拉。中国来的移民很多都能叫EXPERT的就是语言吃亏大了

I don't know......if a guy is only good at Linux, he may worth just that much.....in the world of sysadmin/system engineering, it's hard to survive on one skill, unless you are very very very good at it.
