With apps at the center of the Windows 8 experience, there is going to be an awesome opportunity for Aussie developers to create Windows 8 Metro style apps. With Windows 8 Consumer Preview, you have first-time access and the opportunity to reach a worldwide customer base early.

To get you started, Microsoft Australia is running a series of Windows 8 Developer Camps across the country.

What am I going to learn?
At these complimentary events run by developers for developers, you’ll learn how to create high quality, consumer-facing Metro style applications for Windows 8. And get the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice.

How do I register?
Registration is easy! Capacity is also limited to keep things interactive and fun. So register early to secure your spot!

What do I need to bring?
Bring your laptop, preferably with the Windows 8 Consumer Preview installed. We appreciate your time, so we’ll take care of the rest including wireless, coffee and food. Bonus points if you bring an app to show off!
