Dear Parent/Guardian，

I am writing to you about a new pneumococcal vaccine, Prevenar 13® which became available on the National Immunisation Program from 1 July 2011 for infants aged 2, 4 and 6 months of age. This new vaccine provides protection against 13 strains of pneumococcal disease and replaces the existing pneumococcal vaccine Prevenar® that provides protection against only 7 strains of pneumococcal disease.

The information available on the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register indicates that your child has received the previous pneumococcal vaccine (Prevenar®).

The Australian Government is providing a time limited program under the National Immunisation Program to enable children who have been previously vaccinated with Prevenar® to receive a free supplementary dose of Prevenar 13®.

我想知道如果孩子不补这针。那240元打疫苗的针的钱还可以拿吗？

以逻辑推算，这是补打的，应该不会影响吧，只要你宝宝有在0，2，4，6，12，18个月打了预防针，就会有第一期的钱拿，然后四岁的打完后会给你最后的一笔。

坦白说这个我不不能100%肯定，最好去Medicare Office Family Assistance 问一下，毕竟不是我开的。

可能的原因：

1 你宝宝已经三岁以上了。
2 你宝宝正在打2，4，或者6个月的预防针，他们直接换了Prevenar 13.
3 漏网之鱼，他们忘了？如果你宝宝是在免费的年龄层里，那就在连接的网址打印一份，连同Child Health Record Book (蓝色那本）拿去council打预防那儿问，不然就是你的GP。

这计划是全国性的，通知信的内容应该是一致的，我是维省的，跟西澳政府放在官网的信都是一模一样。
